i would like to go very much but i'm afraid that by the time i can come up with the money, it will be sold out.. anyway besides the great and mighty black sabbath, there's going to be manson, slipknot, disturbed, cold, linkin park, etc. a pretty good selection of bands, if trendy. i wish tool was playing this year.. http://www.ozzfest.com

Ozzfest has the sorriest lineup i've ever seen... what the hell is ozzy thinking booking these bands? The only bands out of all of them that i'd want to see are Sabbath, Manson (despite the fact he hasn't done anything interesting in 5 years) and Godhead (because they're from DC) and aren't tickets something like $100+ now? the fuck's up with that? when i went two years ago they were only $40, and even THAT was outrageous. Fucking commercial nonsense.

actually the website says they range from like $35 to $60.
but you're right, the line-up could be better - still i want to to go. has anyone gone past years? if so, wha =t has it been like?

I love Ozzy/Sabbath dont get me wrong, but Ozzfest is a pure disgrace. Ozzy should dump the rest and fly solo at concerts. Why should I pay $40-$100 just to see Ozzy play a few songs and then leave. It's pointless..not to mention a huge waste of money.

Jesus, he's booking bands that did nothing to get their record contracts..bands nowadays get their contracts handed over lying upon a golden platter, just b/c they look "cool" or have the ability to steal riffs from other bands..i.e. Papa Roach stealing from Green Day. You obviously have to have no talent to steal riffs from Green Day.
