when i hear any of the songs from the 'still' album, memories rush at me from every direction and my heart just drops...i can literally feel the cold, damp air and environment of her old carpet-less bedroom basement in delaware.....i visualize her soft, smooth skin...i can pick at the dried up wax from her sheets.....i see nothing but darkness, but perhaps a little bit of sparkle from the glitter from her makeup and the moon outside...i smell bitter incense.....and i hear her breathing ever so softly...she's asleep, and i'm just staring at her and running my hands through her hair.....

i hate having such a visual memory and i hate being love with something i can never ever have again.....how can i love something that doesn't give a fuck about whether i live or die anymore....it's been like i've been dying non-stop for months and the pain never heals....

i hate nine inch nails....just thought i throw in my 2 cents here......and yet, i have like 4 of their albums.....go figure......oooh, but their song "something i can never have" used to be my theme song for years....anytime i heard that song, i'd bust out crying....not anymore however

different strokes... i am compelled to give Fragile a listen at least once a month (meaning that i play the disc repeatedly for a week)...

i love NIN. people say they suck cause they over-produce and remake everything. blah. whatever. every band does that...NIN just makes the effort to try to make money off of it. Reznor's one of the darkest artists out there. I mean.. without being "i'm so goth" type thing. He lives what he says in his songs. I like his new toned down, no makeup and frills look. He seems to be searching for some sort of peace of mind. A real human with real conflict, I suppose. I hate Manson. Just thought I'd add that in.

The Fragile is wonderful, beautiful and exquisite. Can't wait for the new disc too.

i don't like NIN for these reasons: 1. too artsy-fartsy; 2. when in HS, only the artsy fartsy kids listened to NIN; 3. everyone i knew who like NIN, were all so "i'm so artistic, i think poop on a canvas is beautiful"; 4. biggest reason of all is i associate music to people.....and, an old friend of mine was the biggest NIN fan i ever met....well, i hate that fucker...hence, when i hear NIN, i think of him...and i get all hateful.....that may sound stupid, but itz how i am....i'm the same way when i hear Pearl Jam cuz this bitch cunt whore (ex-love) really loved them....fuck 'em....plus, Pearl Jam sux.....and um.....what was i talkin' about?

i think i agree. i blame capitalism.

no he wasn't....he typically played shitty, repetitive 8th note bass lines based on the roots of chords (usually root and fifth only 'power chords') of songs he didn't write.......he was just a lucky guy in the right place at the right time as far as i'm concerned....he's got way more credit than he has ever deserved....

besides....i believe the brilliance of any music comes more from the songwriting/composing process not than the performance....unless of course it's the type of music that's none for unique solos/improvising....which i personally, am not really into that sort of thing......

nine inch nails is without a doubt my favorite.....but i don't think even Trent Reznor is neccesarily brilliant....he just found his niche
