Yes, this band, from the 80's until now has been and is one of the best best bands of history, why do I say this? it is not only because I love them, I had my first time to hear them as everybody can have, but I see this points:
They are honest, direct, they play amazingly.
For example, you will never listen to a bassist as new model army's one. He does what he wants with the nature of his hands.
The singer "Sullivan", is a great great composer, a very good singer and a great musician.
In fact they remind me to my bands because three men do all the work, like them, we can play a lot of instruments each one, as them do. that's a lot of work. I know it well.
The music is perfectly composed and makes one feel a lot of things, the lyrics are very deep and well written and some of them are just unbelievable.
As a less important factor, it counts a lot though,I will say that New Model Army is a perfect band to dance, to listen to music, to get violent, to feel, to feel; fuck!.
I will post a few lyrics by them, but to know it all ( music and everything) is the great experience, you will never forget, and in fact it can be one of your favourite bands, mine is NMA together with the Damned and Dead Kennedys, but they all have nothing to do with each other, and at the same time, in my soul, they have.
So ok, New Model army, without fashions, intense experience.
