To anyone who hasn't purchased their CD "Hybrid Theory" - BUY IT NOW!!!! I was very impressed when i bought it yesterday. Yeah, I know it takes me forever to get CDs, but shut up
It's a great CD, great singing along and driving music, and just great music. And I don't want to hear any comments about them being on the radio and mtv, so they suck. It's a great band.
I agree. The album is great. But I think that their first hit off the album, "One Step Closer" is the worst song on the album. I know so many people who bought the cd and only listened to that one song. The rest of the album is so much better! It's one of those cds that you can just listen to the whole thing straight through and enjoy it all.
Linkin Park is by far one of the best bands out there. I agree with what you said about their CD. I have to say that CD is astonishing. I'm constantly listening to them. For some reason, their lyrics just get to me. I can't wait for their new CD to come out. Hopefully its twice as better....well another good band is a new group that some of you might not have heard of yet. They are called Hoobastank. I recently found out about them since I got to see them playing with Sum 41 and Unwritten Law. I also got to meet some of the guys. They are really cool and down to earth. Riiiiiight...Hoobastank was #10 yesterday and today is #3 on TRL( hey I was Bored).......So rest assure almost everyone has heard of hoobastank.......About Linking Park, they perform live really well....I was impress with thier performance on MTV's live at the Radio Music Hall , I think it was that......Musically they're ok....but their Cd Hybrid Theory in my opinion SUX..good thing I didn't buy it......I used to like Crawling, In the End, and Papercut, but the only one I like now is Crawling....the rest got annoying as fuck!!!! .........I won't compare them to other bands, because there's no point......but they could do better......To me Linkin Park is too close to a Limp Bizkit....but just a younger more boyband feel to it.....

Archangel, I have to agree with you when you said that they have a 'boyband" feel to them... the exact description I've gotten by many people I know of Linkin Park is that they're just "a oy band in a bad mood" or "with an attitude" or whatever. Yeah same shit different pile as Limp, except I liked a couple of Limp Bizkit's songs. Either way, they're more youth-oriented I think (go teeny boppers from hell!) hehhehehheh....
Anyways that's my two cents that I've put in... how many is that now, like 12 cents now or something?

DAMN!! when i finally saw this thread i had to answer....
Linkin Park is very popular all down the east coast...maybe that's why me and Duddy share the same opinion...its very rare that i find a CD that i can listen to straight through and not have to flip once....I LOVE IT. all their songs rock..they call to me in some way i swear it...i especially like #11...can't think of the name off the top of my head...but most people don't really pay attention to this one---seeing its mostly instrumental...but hey the beat is fukin awesome....and my opinion...limp bizkit got way too played out..people started listening to them because it was the "thing" to do...i don't think this will happen with LP because of the simple fact that this thread is proving....not everyone is into them.

agh..i can not stand them at all. i saw them in concert..brandi forced me, lol. imo they are way too fake..i had hybrid theory like, last year and everyone started to like them and i realized what they really are. i gave my cd away...they're just another generic rock band that will be here for about 3 years and disappear. soon it will no longer be cool to like them and no one will, they'll move on to the next band that writes songs about how they are SO depressed and things are crawling in their skin, and they'll have cool riffs and a frontman with his lip pierced, and linkin park will be forgotten.

ooo i just had to say something. did you know that LP was first called 'hybrid theory' and the album was supposed to be 'linkin park?' but their producers told them to rearrange the 2 names so they would be next to limp bizkit on cd shelves. hmmmm....plus they had to change the name anyway cause hybrid threatened to sue.

I also saw them in concert (at Ozzfest this last summer) and I agree with you. I had bought the CD before I saw them live and I really liked it. But in concert I thought they sucked. They were trying to sound alot harder than they actually are. Just seemed like they were trying too hard to be like the other bands that were playing. But imo a good cd is a good cd and hybrid theory is a good one. Just a shame that they're not so great live.
