well, back to The Gathering, they are from Netherlands and started as a doom metal band, now they are, well kinda of an electronic metal thingie

Listen to the voices. The fact that they are hot is a fringe beniefit. The lyrics are good...the music is good. If we were talking about T&A I'm sure we would mention Britney Spears or some other teeny bopper BS music that has zero musical ingenuity. Since we are talking about musical talent I just thought, though they are hot, that both bands have (in my eyes, which may not mean much) shown a different level of talent and ability than most.

The reason why the masses think these are good lyrics is because that's the zenith level of mentality that they are capable of; both thinking and writing (creating) themselves, ergo, it's ~pure genius~ to them. You know this already. You're just beating your head against a wall if you try to talk your sense into their minds.
