I used to love Garbage. I was never a hardcore fan but I always loved their classic stuff like "Only Happy When It Rains" and "Stupid Girl" and to a lesser extent "Push It". I work in a record store called Record Town in Boston, and we decided to put their new stuff on. And here are my feelings about this album;

Hardcore fans of Garbage beware, you are going to feel betrayed with this new glam/pop/semi-rock/electroniky record. I couldn't believe that this was the same band that I heard 5 years ago. It's too light and almost every song disappointed me (especially track #3 *shudders*). I guess in their case they were trying to sound a little different... trust me, it didn't work out for the best. If you already got this album I feel sorry for you. And if you haven't gotten it yet try to phyce yourself into believing that it will be the worst CD ever so you don't get too disappointed when you find out that it almost is.

If anyone else would enjoy bitching about their new stuff... by all means.

Hey there, yeah, I agree the new garbage sucks, if you want something to replace it, you guys shoudl check out curve. . . they sound like garbage, but BETTER. oh yeah, and they've been around a bit longer too. . . they've got electronic music with a pretty voiced chanteuse singing. . . they'll be touring with dj? Accucrack soon too, and they've just put out a new album that is really fantastic. I agree to the extent of having seen thier new video,and hearing the new single. I don't know about the rest of the album. But, nothin beats the self titled album.

nah, i liked 2.0 better... though i must say may favorite song is Milk off of #1
