DEW-SCENTED is some great trash/death stuff, check their album "Inwards".
and theirs KHOLD: norwegian "true" black metal, but unlike most true bands quite good.

kalmah:hailing from finland these dudes kick ass with speedy thrash guitar, warmen like keyboard synths and cool black metal vox. both albums are equally kick ass!
carcass: best goddamn gore.death metal band period. new shit isnt as heavy but catchy
testament: the bay thrashers rule all. im a huge fan so i think all their albums are good,hehe
nile:cool egyptian themed death metal that will tear you a new fuck hole.
hate eternal: heavy brutal death metal
arch enemy: swedish melodic death with hot ass chick doing vocals.
