You can look at it as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of human life, or just chalk it up to my being a sick, bloodthirsty monster. Either way, it's all the same.

What the fuck ever man!! They're just another band that should be thrown into the mix of that angsty-depressed-melodrama-meloncholy rock from the 90's.
BUT, BEFORE YOU GET ALL BENT OUT OF SHAPE...I am indeed a Cold fan.
I've been a fan before their first album even came out. I picked up a demo somewhere and fell in love with the song "Goodbye Cruel World." I grabbed the album the day it came out and have loved it ever since. It's a damn good album...some typical 90's rock stuff, but without any hype. Although, I must admit, out of that scene they are indeed my favorite. There music is raw, yet passionate, and they do a number of acoustical tracks. And all of it has that dirty feel that makes you just want to break lightbulbs and cut your wrists! YAY!
As for their second album, I grabbed it as well. Took me awhile to really get into it, but when I did, boy did I ever. I used to rock out to that album all the time. It's quite different from the first. A little more thought on structure, and includes piano. The songs aren't as catchy as the first album, but some of the tracks do get stuck in your head...like "End of the World," "Anti-Love Song," and "Witch." For the most part, it too is a good album for those who grew up during the 90's, surviving the grunge apocalypse. Sadly, however, the album does get tiring after awhile. I rarely listen to it these days as it doesn't really perk my ears...but there are times where I rock it like my cock. However, my one problem, no acoustic tracks...except for that shitty last song "Bleed."
As for their third album...GAH! Fuck it, piece of shit!
For those of you who don't know, Cold is on FLIP Records (owned by Fred Durst...or at least used to be...and is known to host such wonderful [vomit] acts like Staind). However, Cold is a pretty damn good band and does sort of stand out from the rest: that is, that little circle of music shite from the latter half of the 90's: Korn, Limp Bizkit, Staind. However, if you didn't discover the band as a teenager in the 90's, there's really no point in searching for them now. I'm sure you've all moved on to better, more beautiful things.

I listened to "Just Got Wicked" here and there. And their accoustic song on the Resident Evil: Apocalypse soundtrack was good. Other than that I don't care for them.
