In the past year two of my girlfriends have miscarried, twice. One of them is spending a fortune on fertility treatments. So many people out there want children it seems a shame.
Abortion is not an option for me, however I could never presume to judge anyone else for their decision.

What if you were raped and ended up pregnant? You would want the child coming into the world knowing that oneday you'd have to make it privy to the knowledge that "I was raped and you're the product of that pain."

Hey Soul Erosion, I understand what you're saying, that's why I'd never judge anyone for their decision regarding abortion. If I were raped and became pregnant I would tell the child that out of evil came great love (that's if I were in an emotional state to handle it and have the child).

Abortion has been so popular in the past because there was not effective birth control. I get most angry when women use abortion as birth control and have had countless abortions.

Considering how expensive it is to get an abortion. I'd imagine very few women these days would use it purely for birth control. Who would do that to their body? I hate women who rely on the morning after pill as well.

Depends on demographics I suppose. I have personally known of someone who has had 4 abortions for that reason. I find it very distasteful. People aren't usually going to come right out and tell you are they?

I agree with Soulfull, I would never judge someone who has had or is considering abortion. For myself though it 100% wrong! I think human life is the greatest thing of all! What makes me upset though is the fact that Contraception is FREEEEE & under priviledged people get pregnant on PURPOSE to get child grants. That is disgusting! No child deserves that kind of life just as no child deserves abusive or perverse family members. All paedophiles should be castrated & watched while they bleed to death!!! Our baby is everything to us!!!

I am very pro-choice, everyone is different and have their own circumstances to deal with.
I would never use abortion as birth control as I find this a harsh alternative to either taking the contraceptive pill, having a coil fitted, an injection every 12 weeks or a condom... there are so many other ways to prevent unwanted pregnancy and I am unsure if there could be long term damage caused by repeated abortions.
Thats my only disagreement with abortion, if it is mis-used.

i personally think abortion is wrong but i some cases it is well needed but sould be a joint decsion between the farther and mother if the mother knows who the farther is ( i know under law that would be nearly impossible but it would be the way i would work thins)
in cases such as rape
the mother may die if the baby is born
the life would be painfull and inhuman due genetic desease.
in these cases the a joint decision should be made on the abortion.

my reasoning for the joint decision is that an ex girlfriend didnt tell me that she was pregnant and then had an abortion and told me after it has over and done with.
this cause alot of pain and other conditions arose from it.
the choice shouldnt just be the mothers the farther should have a say in the matter.

I'm pro-life but in an early abortion you can't really claim a zygote is a baby....Plus what quality of life would it have if it was unwanted...there are so many unloved kids out that its unfair to create more accidents in such an over populated world

personally i disagree.
The woman is the one who would have to carry it, not to metion actually give birth, so its all very well for a guy to say he wants you to keep the baby...but its the womans body...the final decision has to lie with her.
