I had a friend once who swore blind that they had invented gravity defying hover skateboards but they dissapeared from production just before they were due to go on the market.
A scientist I once met claimed to have invented a very economical way of generating energy, VERY economical. Like it would save people shit loads of money, not to mention it was probably better for the environment. A big oil company tried to buy it off him and he said no, because he knew they would lock the idea away in a little box and never let it out. He recieved death threats and had to go into hiding (apparantly)
Companys with lots of money at stake often buy up good ideas that would give them competition and supress them.
What do you fink?
Heard any wierd and wonderful tales of stuff, mentioned once and then dissapeared off the face of the earth? Or is it all bullshit?:greenalie

It would not surprise me, about the oil companies that is. Fusion power could have been developed already, rendering all other power sources, including nuclear power, obsolete. But it is not developed all that quick... ... Time has no bearing... ...when the whiteout begins...

I read somewhere that people went to MIT with proof that it worked but they were paid to debunk it. People say that MIT is paid to debunk loads of stuff. Well, people who work at MIT anyway.
Dunno.
Could be true.
Isn't fusion supposed to be relatively simple? Relative to like, fission and stuff. ('stuff' is such a good word.)

Wouldn't surprise. Just so long as tey don't find my H2O powered car.lol
Though seriously I heard that the CIA and NSA have technology 5+ generations ahead of domestic release. Add to this abundant alien conspiracy, and sealed airforce bases which it is illegal to come within 15 miles of and don't appear on maps(Area 51) it wouldn't surprise me what the source of this technology is. The Military tends to be 3 steps ahead of domestic commercial release, Special ops and Secret agents about 5 steps.
Not really anyhting special, jsut the governments have deals with the various manfucaturers to build these highly expsenive devices for the people who need them. Most of these devices are prototypes and the various people are field testing some of them.
But there were tales that a new Elctrro-mag inductor was actually bought by a shell company of some Saudi arabian oil concern because it would make wind power 10 times more effective then it already is and make wind farms far more practical then they are. Also there was a tale that the same shell bought up a hydrodynmaic insulator which upped electircla output in solar cells. How true this is?

I wouldn't doubt it; the gas companies already suppress hybrid automobiles a lot without buying them out.
Really, tell me, what use does an ordinary American have for a car that can go 150 mph?

Hmmmmmmm. Interesting.
They are actually advertising a couple of hybrid cars now. Wonder if they might finaly make it onto the market.
Andwhats all this crap about 'Oh, we can't build wind farms, they're too much of an eyesore.'
Yeah, because nuclear power stations are just so attractive!
O.K. , so technicaly they take more ground area but I think they look alright. They aren't noisy either, like some people say they are. I stood right under one.

I saw a really cool Electrical car in the U.K which did about 70 Mph, which is the top speed limit of the U.K. but it isn't being built because it isn't fast enough for the German Autobahn (which has no speed limit)
But it's fast enough for the U.K. and the U.S.

None of this susprises me. i've heard that a man invented a lightning rod/battery pack assembly that would give you power for a week after a thunder storm. general electric bought the patent withen a week of his anoucement that he had invented it. Hehe get some computer super-guru to hack the governments computers, or get a job there...
Course if you get caught hacking.. forget owning a comp for around 40 years, and if you get a job there, you can't tell anyone either... LOL your choice.. A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, con a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly.

A moral dilemma - supposing a piece of technology came to light which you felt could lead to considerable human suffering - assuming that your company had the resources and the influence, would you suppress the technology?

Since the 30's the government and private concerns have been conspiring to keep oil as the main fuel derivitive. People have been murdered (it sounds so melodramtic, but true!) so their discoveries wouldn't be released. Only solution would be for some really wealthy individual (who hasn't joined the world bank/leaders club) decides to develope a patent privately. Even then I think he'd have only a slim chance of success. The more you have, the more you have to lose. Learn as if you were going to live forever. I agree on the oil thing, but as we can see, besides solar power and gas-cars, there is indeed a motor who can run by just one hit a electricity to start a process of water-elektrostuff (stuff indeed is a nice word to get through rough times, lol)
and, for real, they cant just push that technology back again, I mean, sumday a rich genius and natureminded man will try to keep them waterbased motors on the road, and u'll see, its not gonna take long,,, I'm more concerned about them goddamn weapons they create,,, (ofcourse a car on water does have an extremely high explosion hazard or sum I guess, I mean, H2 aint exctly the safest thing on earth, lol,,,
and bout all the alienstuff... it must be true, because... otherwise they would'nt do suo much effort in denying it, because is smart enough, I'ld just tell the public like, hell, they landed here, and they died, thats it, all there is to know, byebye, thx for listenening, no more prob. and for real, I wouldnt get too hysterical if I heard aliens landed here once, I mean... why not? we TRY to do the same with our space-technology stuff...
now, sumthing else...
I think sum thingz are just locked away for a good reason, bcuz people are just not ready for it, and why would they cover it all up, well... guess they are making sum weapon that is so powerfull it could kill not only the entire planet, but create sum black whole itself... think bout it, lol... or yeah, time-machines...
now I'm off cuz my imagination is going Jules Verne in the NOW days, HK still alive...
