I have to state here and now that there's something really sad about the government presently, and if you look at what they're doing it's easy to see where it's going.

With the usage of things like the Patriot Act to hold people just by calling them terrorists, it leads you down the road of thought that they're going to use this in order to manipulate the country.

Speak out? You're a terrorist.
Try to leave the country? Terrorist.

And before the 2004 elections there WILL be another bombing.
Trust me.

If there isn't I'll be surprised...nay shocked. After the WTC bombing Bush became popular, so why not do another bombing and make it so people stand behind Bush even more.


Or perhaps they'll pass a law which says that the President remains the President even if his two terms are over, so long as the country is presently in a crisis, due to how the new President would have to be briefed on what was occuring and all that, while the old one would just continue doing his job.
So it'd be best to keep him in power.

Well the one part of the Patriot Act which was knocked down, I think, dealt with being able to take DNA from people without their saying yes to it.

Like the trivial matter of illegality has ever stopped them before.

well as for the government, yes they have many things about them that i myself do not agree with. Basiclly america was hit hard by the 911 attacks, everybody in charge of the country shit their pants cause they had no idea what to do, so everybody started to pull shit out their ass, and see what sounded the best, and you had alot of people come out of no where cause the government didnt know where to turn, thats why you have all these new agincies that nobody really knows what they do, besides put us in debt......point being, in the middle of all the chaos, the government sure as hell had no time to come up with any long term consp. if anything, they are just tring to get a hold of the situation, which isnt a nice little office job where you go and speak with people from other countries about global warming, anymore, they actually have to make though calls and people as they finally see, are really at risk. As far as Bush goes, if you think he himself runs this country you should keep up on politics.....

i have to admit many people in teh UK find the 911 a little too precise and just in time for Bush (he wanted it to happen and let it happen)

the timing does seem to be too good, along with the whole recount in Flordia, and now Bush tring to say Iraq had something to do with it, but now i think hes saying he didnt, i think theres too many laws being broken to really try and figure any of this out.....

Well, Bush himself decided to say we were going after Iraq due to a link between terrorism and Iraq.

However last week Bush stated in an interview that Iraq actually had no real ties to terrorism.

Colin Powell is blaming Iraq & Sadam, because they DIDN'T FIND ANY WEAPONS.
According to Powell.. "Sadam deceived the world into thinking he had weapons programs, when he never did.."
Even further, he blamed the failure of western intelligence and their 'trumped up' accussations of WMD's on Iraq - saying that Sadam planted false evidence to mislead weapons inspectors.

So apparently...
The entire reason for going to War, was justifed by Sadam himself, as he created false and misleading evidence, to try and convince the world he had been working on Weapons programs for the last 10 yrs (as they no find - there has been no weapons programs for 10 years !!)

I wonder if Walt Disney wrote this one himself.

The ideals of this country have completely been warped by this "president". The republicans have been attempting to take over this country for quite some time... even with the big "scandal" with Clinton and Monica Lewinsky. To this day you still hear republicans bringing that up like it was the biggest crime ever commited, when in actuality, Bush has commited crimes all the worse.

Bush and his administration do have many tricks up their sleeve, but I hope that if there is another terrorist bombing that the organization won't be doing it in his favour... I hope they do it against him, and lay him dead in his damn ranch in Texas. (FBI is sure to investigate me for what I just said)

Personally, I'm really curious as to where Bush does stand,..

In a way that comes as a surprise, and in a way that's expected. They've become more and more radical, driving their conservative views further into their religious views; and just trying to have complete control in favor of their rich croonies. Abraham Lincoln's republican party was originally what we now have as the Democratic party, but it was stolen away in some mixed up switch of things.

I've thought for awhile now, that the average working middle/lower class men and woman need to literally revolt. This country was built on the ideals of supporting your fellow man, not screwing him over, sending him to the poor house and pocketing the cash.

Bush would never respond to Nader though, he's a coward, that was apparent when he stayed back during Nam in the Army Reserves (and he'd probably jumble his words as always). He'll represent something, but he won't stand up for it.
