I doubt very much they are genuine. You really think the Government would let their documents be leaked onto the web? If they were real..they would have the site shutdown.

The government likes to create confusion. Because of that, they let the alien myths go on, so nobody knows which information is real and which is made-up. They like this situation.

They are real, they are only documents that have had critical information blacked out... otherwise they would not be on there.

The guy that runs the site has been doing that for a long while... i think hes made a job (or hobby) of it.

The government also relys on people like that to create confusion among those who would try to get this information. *shrug*

But isn't the question 'Why would they even bother causing confusion if there was nothing behind it?'

It has always been the governments objective to 'pooh pooh' anyone and anything connected to U.F.O sightings and debunk any legitimate witnesses by calling them loonies, delusional or conspiracy freaks.

Creating confusion is the only good way to hyde the truth. Some people just don't know what to believe anymore.

Governments design new weapons technology and people mistake them for Aliens. Simple.

Then, when these 'secret weapons' are made and used why don't they just say..."Oh, yes, by the way world, area 51 was used to make this urrmm, weapon of mass destruction. See folks, no aliens."

Also, the Stealth Bomber has always been a bit of an enigma in how it was designed. Believed to have been through alien technology. No previous designs that lead up to it's invention...????

Actually, there were a number of prototypes to the Stealth Fighter.

Aliens do provide an amusing cover for weapons research, though. I think the Government uses it, but does not act to control it. It just allows the UFO community to build up the myth.

So the government pertetuates the myth for amusement? What of ex-miltary men who have confirmed the gov. has been involved with alien technology? are they doing it for the laugh too?

Amusement and because it helps keep secrets. As for the military men, more than likely, they are doing it for the money involved.

So, the thing my friends saw flying around the countryside of Queensland was some military secret the Australian army is keeping from the public? We can hardly keep the planes in the air we get second hand from the U.S. let alone come up with the kind of technology they saw displayed. The U.S must test a lot of their secret weapons/machines in South America too hey?

You have to think about the whole UFO theory seriously and in great depth. By UFO, i refer not to the actual meaning, but the suggestion of Alien ships that has been built up around the term. Now, i don't deny something is going on, but if we look at the evidence and think reasonably, then Aliens become a tad ridiculous in terms of an explanation.

Firstly, we know that some sightings will be of experimental aircraft being tested by the Government. That is a given. Other sightings can be explained by: misidentification of civilian aircraft; meteor activity; and a number of atmospheric conditions. All valid explanations, not to mention that the people could just be lying.

If there are so many Aliens whizzing around our planet...why do we not have some artefacts from them? Why no good images? Why would they even bother whizzing around and trying to remain secret so...badly?!

It seems to me that we have people creating a modern myth. The UFO community are building themselves a different kind of Religion. It is certainly interesting, but it is not really that valid. How come they look so like us? Do you know the chances of that happening? Extremely remote, basically. You might argue that they manipulated our DNA in a past time. However, if they did so, they are not very good at it. Certainly not as good as they should be, if they travel between the stars more effectively than ourselves.

Whenever new technologies are developed, the army is the first to benefit from them. That's why they want to keep it a secret. It's very interesting how they first think about war, and afterwards to everithing else....

Vallisk, I have had no first hand experience myself and the thought that 'little grey men' are flying around so prolifically and have left not one shred of physical evidence makes me a sceptic too. But I remain open-minded. I have read so many stories about people who claim to have had 'close encounters of the third kind', some, having been total sceptics themselves and not wanting to come forward because of the ridicule they would receive, they also have received little monetary reward and seemed totally sanely credible.

Yeah Ssnake, no wonder aliens don't want to give us any technological advances, we'd just make bigger weapons.

You have no way of knowing if they didn't already give us technology to build some of the weapons the army already has in it's possesion and we don't know about

There is a difference between having an open mind, and wanting something to be true. It seems to me, that you desire there to be some truth to all this, simply because it is more interesting.

Nothing wrong with wanting things to be interesting, but don't jump to conclusions or simply agree with the claims of people based on their apparent credibility. When they bring forth the evidence, fair enough. However, there is nothing solid, and it is irresponsible to lend support to such a community. Serious research is what is required, focusing on what little we have, and compiling the best theory based on it. Not unrealistic talk of seemingly motiveless and easily-manipulated Aliens.
