what is the point of life? you're gonna die anyways right. then why bother living if everything you learned and lived for is gonna go down the drain?

Everyone has many different reasons for living.


JOY = LIFE and vice versa.

If you're not happy life is crap.

I think the whole purpose in life is time find that source of joy and happiness and squeeze every last moment of simple pleasure you can out of the world.

I love art and philopsphy and music and new ideas.

I find that the new ideas are what I like.

In a utopian society I'd go mad. There are no imperfections to correct, no problems to solve no new ways of doing anything.

that is the meaning to my life.

I think the meaning in your life is to find what the hell gives you the most simply satisfaction.

Somply it's money, others it's kids some it's fame and others its glory. Hell find that thing at milk it.

Or at least that's what I've come to beleive.

I'll stick with the first two. So start writing and planting, boys and girls.

There is no real "point" or by your definition of the word anyway.
It's not as if there is some grand design, meaning or even goal to be reached for that matter. Why do tropical storms happen? tornado's? Of course their are causes for these things, but they meaningless happenings with no real purpose. They accomplish nothing, such as the human life.
Life is just something that happens…. We enjoy the ride while it last

the point of my life is to find true love (been there done that) so now i just have to spend eternity with that person (EA thats what my purpose is nothing more.

To those who spend excessive amounts of time pondering the meaning of life and the reasons for their own existence:-

1) You are overcomplicating what is really a very simple question...ever heard the expression "Life is what you make it"? Only the individual, totally isolated in the existensialist sense of the word, has the ability to create its own purpose. So quit wasting your time, get on with your lives and get out there and MAKE your own purpose for being here.

2) Why are you still here? I said go - you're wasting your existence and, more importantly, a little piece of mine. Lucky for you guys I'm considerate enough to take time out my own busy schedule to steer you back to the right path...

the point in life is to live, its that simple, we have basic needs for a reason. These basic needs are what keep us going without them we would just sit there until we die. The point of life is to forfill our basic needs. However this would be a dull boring life if our basic needs were our soul purpose of living. Thats why we love. Love is the most powerfull driving force in life. Without it their would be no purpose. When lost, it seems their is no purpose. For love over powers basic needs. One may often deny basic needs for the exchange of love. So i would say the real reason for living is to find love. When love seems as its gone away and lost beyond your reach of salvation, you must realize that you musn't quit. A purpose not forfilled is a purpose lost forever. A forgotten cause, and surley one wants to be forgotten. You must keep living keep loving even when love is lost, then one day when the purpose of life, your purpose has been forfilled, you will die, forfilling the purpose of life even more.

Hmmm that may be contradictory, and of caorse it is my belief and not proven fact, but its just a suggestion......
