i like the tree part and the book part is ok
about what live is and what is its "point" i have no clue i hope i find out this life time...

I've written half a dozen books..... Most of them are crap.

I've also planted half a dozen trees.

Now if for some reason I have lots of children.

(I said IF, don't go passing and forced sterilisation laws yet. It's merely hypothetical.)

Does that mean I've lived lots of lives?

i dont like that thought at all cuz if thats wat ur supposed to do in ur life, then i wanna die now...cuz thats not a life for me to live...

ill make my own life rules on what im supposed to do...

I think the point in those three 'rules' wasn't that they were actually rules on life. Those are three things you can do in life to give you your own little slice of immortality. They live on after you're gone. It's not saying you have to do them to have lived.

ik, i have three personal rules for my life, that i think mose ppl here _might_ be able to agree with:

1) do as thou wilt.
this means, as you wish to behave, up to and including more rules about how you live your life, interact with other people, etc...

2)don't get caught.
the most broken rule of all, and the one that seems to cause people the most complications. though i think it's fairly self-explanatory...

no eel curtains.


oh, and as a special bonus today, i am including muy current form of the 3 solutions to any problem...
if the answer is not
1) bigger hammer, then it might be
2) more duct/gaff tape
if it is neither of the preceeding the solution must therefore be
more lube.

AFAIK, what Liber AL vel Legis means by Do What Thou Wilt is not "behave as you wish to behave", it's "behave in accordance with your True Will", which doesn't always correspond with your every whim... Of course you can use whatever life rules you want and you probably already knew this anyway, I just thought that might need pointing out.

This follows in with my rant somewhere else about people limiting themselves by their own minds or some such... and then complaining their life sucks when they are the ones restraining themselves from being happy...

Nope, that's not the same.. that's just the 15 seconds of fame (or in this case, infamy) every man gets.

A child can continue your line for generations, a tree lives for hundreds of years, and a book... well, the good ones should live forever. (I'm a big fan of reading, can you tell?)

Depends who I kill. Lee Harvy Oswald? My books will be unread, the tree cut down and the child could suffer in any number of ways.

i agree cuz its the same here...plus im not gonna take on the responsibilities of a child when i dont want any...
