I was watching tv the other day and they were having a special on columbine and how Ramstien and Half Life and other bands/games influenced the killers.

I think its fucking bullshit, I listen to Velvet Acid Christ, which is possibley the most violent, sick, sadistic, fucked up band you will ever listen to. Does anyone see me going around killing people? I also play half life and other violent games and I have never walked into a school with a shotgun and killed 16 people. And I never will.

I dont think that the human psyche is as weak as people would have us believe. I think that the killers at columbine had a pre determained genes twords violence. Maybe some kind of chemical imbalance or something. But the media makes it out to be the sole resposibility of the artists to babysit our nations children.

Where would we be without the beatles? They helped to change the world, but at the time they were socially unacceptable with their "lucy in the sky of diamonds"and their "yellow submarines" What if someone had sanatized their lyrics. Would the hippie movement started?

Anyway, these are just my ramblings if you dont agree fuck off and dont post here....

I believe that all "Bad influences" i.e. music, movies, games, etc. are only as strong as the weakness of the listener. Just because someone's kid is prone to catching colds doesn't mean the gov't should outlaw winter.

that would be "Futile (Nazi Bastard Mix)", originally on the UK release of 'Church of Acid'. however if you're requesting VAC mp3's in avoidance to buying their albums, fuck off, you're killing my scene.

NAw, I always buy CD's I use Mp3s as a testing ground to see if I like the band first, I got some MuDvAyNe the other day and got their album too now.
VAC stuff is almost as rare as Atari Teenage Riot to get over here.
The only option is to pay thru the nose and get somewhere extorsionate like HMV to order it from USA, then i'd have to wait a month or so!
No internet ordering either as nowheres stoopid enough to give me a VISA

What? I love Twisted Thought Generator!! Its the album that got me hooked on VAC. I agree Church of Acid is better but I will never forget my first love. I am just starting to get into them though, and have not yet ordered their albums, but be assured they are priority number one on my wish list.

heh, i'm just giving you shit, i was just disappointed with TTG, which can barely hold a candle to Calling Ov The Dead (my favorite album). IMHO anyway.

I agree with you manifesto. If a person is too dumb to realize that the stuff you see and hear on tv, radio, ect. is fake, and can be harmful, blame the parents, not entertainment. The parents should have taught that child the difference between real and fake, safe and harmful.

Another thing, the boys at columbine were said to be teased, tormented, alienated ect by the other students. If the student body does that, and it hurts you that badly and the principal, teachers, parents, whomever, does nothing about it, take matters into your own hands. And, if your parents care so little about you that you can keep pipe bombs in your room, I would be a little angry/violent myself.

Now, as for the school advisors doing something about it, huh, I have first hand experience that the won't. I actually interviewed the principal at my school for a project I had to do, and he believes that the teachers at his school are perfect. They don't favor, pick on students, harass students ect. I am a victum of teacher harassment, so I know it happens.

Ok, that's my opinion on that, even though I could go on for hours.
