i'm just going to assume the worst [i.e. bad bad things] because it'll go better with the killing my killing thing. if fantasising about it means that you're not going to commit it i think that's better. but if we're never to do it anyway, i honestly don't see the harm in it. i wonder what the general pop thinks?

agressive tendencies in the mind are a normal thing... thats what imagination is for, to dream up possibilities and explore the consequences without actually having to deal with them since ave yet to actually DO them...

I think if the same thought involving the same person(s) occurs too frequently, then the thought is damaging because it means you are more likely to do it.

but I don't think thoughts are damaging.As errantrogue said, its normal to use the imagination to dream up possibilites and explore the consequences without actually having to deal with them since it is all but a imaginative thought.

Maybe in the opposite: How often does someone's "positive thoughts" matter? For example, how signifigant is it really that someone cares, that someone loves, that someone thinks of you... For many people, this is the only thing in life that they strive for...recognition, adknowledgement in another's mind. If it works in the positive light, it must work on the negative as well....how offended are they when they know that they are hated, that someone wants to kill them. Of course, though, "they" are the ones that judge you by your thoughts, not your actions...... People can be classified. Yet we all judge ourselves by our thoughts, to some extent, don't we? Guilt, honest, shame, pride, etc....these are mostly built upon ideas of ourselves... We blame ourselves for our thoughts. How often does what someone else *thinks* truly affect what you think of yourself?

Then what is it to use as an excuse, "I was not thinking." Maybe the act itself requires no thought at all.......

Thoughts are just that, thoughts. We all have bad thoughts. As long as they aren't acted upon, they are fine. It helps purge our minds of stress. When they can't be controlled, it ends up in the news, another human gone postal. I think about it all the time. I would never cause harm to others....unless I find the perfect, clean method of extermination, then.........

If a person is judged by their thoughts, we are all condemned. To think of an action is not to be guilty of such. I've had thoughts in my head that would make the weak-hearted flee in terror. I've even written such thoughts out so I could read them aloud. Once exorcised thus, I was freed of the grip of them.
