we didn't even create all these concepts ourselves. we allowed others to do our thinking for them and then many of us believe it.
i don't believe in ghosts, but this doesn't make me frightened and weird myself out when strange stuff happens. no sights of spectrals and such but noises, objects that move, and electric based things that turn on/off will make me a wee nervous. i suppose i don't believe, but don't discount the possibility. that's me with almost everything. playing it safe i guess? [or just cheating]
if you die where does your mind go?
that's if your mind exist as separately from your body in the first place.

Heaven or hell...sure. Depends on how you can perceive it though. (insert many religion theories here)I believe that they are places that we visit after we die for some period of time. Then we get to be reborned.
About ghosts...sure. I believe they exist. If a man dies and as a spirit he doesn't know what happened to his physical body he remains a ghost until he finds out what happened. Although I don't think they can do anything else than that. Why do you think most stories about ghosts are based on people who killed themselves?

Hmmm...An interesting theory that I've read about is that some unexplained events that are often blamed on ghosts could be caused telepathically by someone who's alive (think the movie "Carrie"). Some scientist really beleive that it is possible, and the person that's causing these strange things could be completely unnaware that they are doing it. I read about it a long time ago but I remember it having something to do with large amounts of stress getting built up in a person, and then being released in the form of energy, enough energy to move things.
Personally, I believe anything's possible. I think as humans we act as though we can explain anything, but I don't think that is so - there's probably things out there we havn't even begun to imagine.
I've witnessed strange things before (things moving by themselves, unexplainable noises). I like to explore possible ideas and theories but it is not my place to conclude what the cause was. I don't know. | |

There is an afterlife. Not sure what it's like... but all beliefs have their ideas and none of them are wrong. All have an element of truth.

I think most ghost sightings are just the result of time overlapping.. Most times the ghosts are just doing what the used to do back in their day. Reading the paper, walking through the hallway, taking a nap.. etc. etc.

Of course there's an afterlife. It depends on how you live now in this lifetime that will determine where you go in the next. Your soul is you, and you need to respect it. Everything you do, you do to your soul, and this will be the ONLY thing you get to take with you when you die.
As for heaven and hell? Well, we're here now. You can either create your own beautiful heaven, or you can create your own miserable hell, based on the actions and choices you make during this lifetime.
And yes, there are ghosts. They're still here because they can't leave yet.  | |

I know this sounds crazy but keep an opened mind with what i am about to say, i know it's been said before so it might make you weary..but i will perceed on still....I have seen a ghost, in my room, and only once so far. It was a female, old lady, and she was cleaning something..i believe a laturn..weird....but i was fine because she didnt notice me and faded shortly after. I question it time and again because before that i didnt know if i believed in them, guess i kinda have to now huh? lol

To Me, it is just not very plausible. I guess this is where faith comes into play ...rather than inquisitive thought, picking apart the theories and revelations of man and history.
Ghosts ....energy is never destroyed, only converted, as was stated previously. I believe this whole-heartedly. Considering the complexity of the human mind, and the fact that we are in no way complete in our study of such, I believe that it is quite possible for such things to exist. Shadows of human beings, minds locked in a location that was familiar to them, or perhaps accompanied by such traumatic memory, that they cannot leave the place, in mind if not body.

Ghosts exist, though I dont know why. I think it is a soul that could not go on, for something has kept them here...anything. (I know, it sounds like a cheesy movie..)

Do I believe in ghosts?
I didnt untill 3 years ago when my grandfather died, at the moment of his death I saw and felt him, 5 minutes later the hospital called. Yes, I most certainly do now believe inghosts beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Is there a Heavan and a Hell?
They are different for each departed soul, and your afterlifes destiny is decided by how at peace with yourself you are during life.

2. Ghosts are nothing more then electrical fields generated by our bodies, containing some of our personalities (we do have electrical fields around us all the time don't we?) and all that shizney.

A third possibility is a state which trancends both. But such a state, by its nature, cannot be explained without reference. And like the man said, when you're dead, you're a' fuckin dead.
