Superior Gender?
PhilosophyDiscuss Superior Gender? in the Debate and Discussion forums; Mhmm, do tell more? This is unheard of for a reason I'm sure....
mainly because a reliable method of X-chromosome fusion is way on the backburner for the science world in general, because there is no real need for it...
but methods are there to test, should anyone get up the gusto... i remember reading a lecture on the theory (though, for the life of me, i can't find it now). its basically just a slight tweaking of standard artificial insemination procedures by replacing the genetic information in spermatozoa (or perhaps farming them in spermatocytes before division).
several decades of experimentation later, i wouldn't be surprised if the techniques currently employed in cloning experiments were used to cut spermatozoa out of the equation entirely with proper material insertion and hormone therapy.

"But this is America, where we unapologetically bastardize other countries' cultures in a gross quest for moral and military supremacy." L.G.
Right, hasn't happened. Time will tell. Until it does, I still stand on men and women's equality to form a whole. I think it'd be like trying to breed Centaurs.
Niether is more then the other due to the fact that it is not our "gender" that makes us that way but how are minds work...such as if you take a male and give him a child hood that pretty much takes him and has a good life, then take a female and put her in a hard life, then she will in fact be more then the male..and vice versa

Superior sexes can only be situational and based on what culture values.
Men are more physically powerful, able to concentrate better, deal with things in the most straighforward of manners, on the whole able to become angrier, and be more comfortable with violence.
Women of course are more nurturing, think about more facets of a problem, are able to empathize more effectively, and are more comfortable dealing with people on emotional levels.
Of course there are exceptions and crossovers, our society has been working at that for many years. In Kindergarten, when a teacher asks the class "How did that make you feel?" That's attempting to make the male students think like females.
Our society right now, has no obvious preference to either male or female qualities. We attempt to create well rounded individuals. We develop female qualities in young boys and we also develop male qualities in young women. We try to teach boys to write meaningful poetry, and we try to teach girls to focus single-mindedly on sports. Both of which are unnatural thought processes for that sex.
With that ideal being followed, it means that there is no real superior sex in western culture right now.
In some cultures however, there is a percieved superior sex, because conditions call for a very concise and harsh set of qualities, values and ethics. Mainly these cultures are dominated by males due to their tolerance of the more competative aspects of that culture.
Its not about the way where shaped its how we in fact shape it... Like taking a nerd and putting HIM agianst a Female weight lifter... The arguements can go all ways but no one is better then the other because no matter what some where whether its the same sex or not is better then you...

Actually even "Nerds"tend to be stronger than female body builders. Unless the female body builder is taking male hormones... then again she is taking MALE hormones.
Always depending on circumstance, but I can't say I know any women that I would deem dangerous, but I do know of men. Yes, women hide it better, but there are some real assholes out there.
I think in general, violence by women are more provoked by violence by men. If a woman lashes out, it is for good reason.
If we divided the sexes onto 2 islands, would there be a difference in crime rates between the islands?
yes, probably there would be more crime with the men... i think statistically they probably are the more physically violent of the two. however, i think it is the non-violent ones you've got to watch out for. there are some things worse than violence... and by the way, as far as who's most dangerous, it's neither men nor women, but me.

To go offtopic some, a lot of the glaring stereotypes in this post are gross. Yes, there are obviously physical differences, some cognitive differences too. But also realize that even in studies, just because of the nature of almost all we are able to perform, there are confounding variables, nature vs nurture kinda deal. Meaning that most differences have been extremely exagerated in society and that the more you take environment out of it the more subtle the differences become.
Also with this math science/nurture stuff give me a break. i'll take that some of it is due to natural differences but we aren't apes, we aren't black widows, we have culture. Culture defines who we are and the characteristics associated with us before we are born!
Think, did your dad hope that his strong baby boy would one day grow up to be a great housekeeper or a ballerina or a nurse? or did your mom hope that her soft cute baby girl would grow up and be a star football player? girls get pretty dresses, boys get trucks. girls fall down you kiss it, boys fall down they are told not to cry. you are taught what is girl what is boy, you play 'house' Granted here i'm making gross generalizations here too, but its not to say that this is it point blank, but just to make you think. That boy most likely isnt going to be fostered with the idea that he will succeed best if he becoems a housewife or a nurse, that girl wont be reared in an environment that will foster her becoming a pro footballer.
A study done with blue eyed vs brown eyed children was performed (look it up i forgot the name) and they told the kids that one eye color meant you were smarter than the other (pretend blue is teh one they pick to be smarter) so violence happens at recess, the brown eyed kids tests scores drop etc. meaning you are conditioned to accept what your limits and characteristics are, even if there's some merit to them.
Pure physical, mental, emotional abilities without people stuck in the mindset of these generalizations are exagerated. Just because you find a relationship does not mean you've found causation --- corrolation does not equal causation! and another quote i love is "there are lies, damn lies, and statistics". so look at the way the studies are performed, look at the society around the statistics for lurking variables taht can confound the results.
