Seems to me one without faith in god(s) can not have a subjective motive to continue to live. These people who obviously live for others, objectively, in one way or another then have to provide an excuse or reason for why their loved ones should continue to exist. (Why should my five year live out his life?) At this point any reason givin can be held, in some regard, as a selfish reason on the part of the questioner. Well where does it state that people do not have selfish reasons for wanting other people to live?
