Question???
Serious DiscussionDiscuss Question??? in the Discussions forums; "everything is just light, not created, destroyed, but eternally bright."...
As I get older the urge to believe in things other than decomposition trys to claim me but when the day comes that I believe all the lies we tell ourselves so as to feel like something other than a snowflake falling over a forest fire I hope that I will have kids to remind me that soon I will be a corpse and they will get to keep all my stuff.

Alright, wasnt sure whether to put this in the religon or philosophy, but it might fit better here. *shugs* i dont know. well anyways, for no reason at all this thought just popped into my head, would like to hear others opinions or whatever. alright not quite sure how to word this but i'll try:
say there isnt a heaven or a hell, say that maybe those places dont exist unless you make a certain "promise". like the pagans, maybe they go to where they think they should go after they die if they follow "their" religon. the people who believe in nothing, go nowhere, just blackness, or a very long dream. only they dont know they are dreaming.
anyone understand what im saying????
Well since I don't believe that there is a heaven or hell. I also don't believe in God or Satan. Or anything about religion at all. The only thing that I do believe in is life its self. When we die... We just die... I personally don't think that we dream. Are mind is shut down when we die. Since are mind is shut down when we die then how could we possibly dream?
I find it hard to believe that while yes, to a point we do create our own reality, we cannot create our own eternity. Let me try to explain.
While we create our own reality, that reality is still based on the grander scale of reality that surrounds us on a day to day basis. The truth of nature and limits of man force us to only control our reality on a limited basis. I cannot make my reality that of universal control of that which I come in contact with any more then I can step off a side of a building and fly around the city at will. There has to be order to an existance. Freewill is alive, but still within the bounds of the bigger "reality."
With that said, I cannot accept the chaotic idea of one choosing their own eternity/after existance/etc. based soley on choices made during their time alive. Much as we tend to change our mind as to which clothes we wear to the club, how can one expect a promise or thought to carry us through eternity? The human mind is in a constant struggle of deciding what is right/wrong. What is good and bad. We have knowledge from experiences and from lessons. The thought that the fickle mind of a human can decide such a fate for all time is a little hard to comprehend.
Then again, I don't believe in anything outside of the hear and now. when you are dead, you are dead.

Hey, the reality is the you CAN jump off a building and fly around town. The animal 'man' has learned to fly. We can glide, be propelled, balloon. Man ends up doing anything he can conceive. Maybe we are God.
