There's one very real reason why this philosophy is impractical: Nukes.

The mighty have become so much so that were they to clash, they would perish along with the not-so-mighty.

Unchecked might makes ignorance another form of wrong not to be confused with right lol. What does make right? I cant say NOONE can say with any true certanty. I defy anyone to deffine right and wrong without personal opinions. I also extremly challenge ANYONE to justify might makes right in an irrefuttable way. Which means no "because I say" idioticy.

I don't think you can define it any other way. After all, what are the general agreements on what is right and wrong if not the collection of individual's feelings?

It's the differences in those feelings and opinions that make right and wrong all but impossible to define exactly.

Well...I think nukes are the great equalizer in that way. The US and Russia both had enough to destroy the earth many many times over at the height of the Cold War. Isn't one time enough? I'm sure we still have the nuclear capability for at least one time, if not more.

Uh...might may make right for the people with the might, but it puts them in a bad position with the people who don't yet have it. Did that make any sense?

People who are the victims of the mighty often look at the "right" unleashed by that might and see it as an oppression, or an abomination.

Basically, the "right" in this case is completely subjective.

"Might makes right" resolves to "last man standing" resolves to extinction. Plain and simple...

Also, if might made right then why did America fight against the might that was in place upon it by the UK? If might was indeed right, it would mean that America being an extension of the UK would therein be right, and thus no reason behind which to fight back against it.

also, army doesn't necessarily make might these days....economy does....thatz how we are able to remain as a hyper-power....our economy and political structure keeps us at top.....however, china is coming up awfuly fast.......they have the largest army in the world, prove communism can work, and their economy is swelling enormously......
