i have a book case on dream studies. Sometimes i think its ridiculous, sometimes it helpes me. a subconscious catch-22. do you guys think i should open a dream thread, might be helpful for some?

Everything that happens beyond the simplest parts of the human brain that control heart function etc happen due to myriad different reasons..trying to pinpoint the exact source of a persons deppression etc will always lead to a vastly different amalgum of causes..some chemical some psychological..it's like trying to find out how those flies get between the pains of your double glazing...near impossible.

especially if you have a number of different complexes that overcompensate one another, or if your in denial/hypocritical and the complex(illness,...) sheeps to the unconscious. We are continuosly trying to balance our primordial psyche through the new energy we absorb everyday, but we will never balance it, because if our psyche was not continuosly in entropy we would not function. I like to view my problems as my psyche just balancing itself out, aids me to accept them while changing them to my will.

So the meaning of life is, as always, equilibrium.

i suppose when we die we are finally complete and entropy-free! hehe

I can't remember being there to know. Maybe it's the begining of the next entropy ladden realm....the gateway to questions we have not yet known existed.

It is a sad thing you can't imagine thoughtlessness itself..it is only this that stops us being able to comprehend the end of our lives.

So, to the lack of thought cometh peace? There are many who walk in death.

To me death holds no fear..without thought there is no fear or regret..I won't worry about my family etc sleep without the troubling dreams sounds not too bad...but as stated it is the journey that is important..I fear that in death the pain of dieing may suspend the perception of time and i'll be caught in that momentary infinity of pain and fear of what is to come and regret of what I have left behind.

Bringing prunes to the equation....the pain of birth is transcended by the bliss of it passing. In life, so too in death.

mental breakdowns, depression and other general emotional ailments. The journey is a rough one, we are bound to recieve a few scrapes along the way....There was pain at birth? Not for me

The scars of our character. Ultimately it's up to us how we heal them and how to apply the salves we've learnt along the way.

and to that i concur.........I have noticed though that of my depressive friends, for the most part thier depressions are caused by the tides of hormones rampaging across thier psyche. They being aware that thier free will and internal world is being torn apart from within despair at the mercy of the creature from which there is no escape.

I too am acutely aware of 'monthly' hormonal rantings and it is in that awareness itself that wisdom must prevail. 'This too shall pass', is usually my tonic....and to try and run the gauntlet with grace. I have collected a bag of tricks to help deal with the passage of depression.

I have found that my nature is different..while my friends (who are mostly female and suffer greatly the battles between the people they want to be/the people society wants them to be/and the people thier hormones scream at them monthly to be) I am a calm outer shell of crunchy facade with a soft center of screaming histerical emotional termoil. Only every so often does my pot boil over and unfamiliar feelings flood out. In the end it has the same effect...my attempts to bottle up my emotions mean when they finaly hit me i have no defences against them..I don't recognise grief so how can I cope with it?

*sigh* *smiles* and people wonder why such an unscary person can have such scary eyes..if they really are windows to the soul I wish I could brick them up.

We all have our beasts raging for release. I fear the cage will buckle and the world will never be the same. The burden of normalcy weighs heavy on passions so strong. To look in the mirror and see your own soul reflected is to wear the yoke of life.

Why do they call it "living" if everyone ends up dead. I mean, at the end of "dying" you die. But att he end of :iving" you're dead, as well. So either you're living until you die or you're dying until you die....?

A fire is burning until it goes out...it is not going out until it goes out..but it's burning is limited nevertheless.

I feel like a "grief mop" at times, soaking up choas and misfortune wherever i turn, but i fucking love it. Delaying pleasure and absorbing experience from taking the hard road is my oasis. Happiness in hell. What is the worst experence that the pain of death.. hmm
