It has always astounded me how two people could come to the same point in time, having shared the same experiences, but never having crossed paths during all that time.
I'd never believe in any of it, until now that is. I've met someone who seems to have come to the same conclusion I have. I've known her before, but not really anything more than a hello or a nod from across a packed club.
When I actually sat down and talked to her, it appears we are one and the same. Same likes. Same dislikes. Same annoyances about modern living.
She drives a model of car I once had. Musical tastes are as off the wall as mine. Her movie collection is like a double up on mine. Everything. If there's a difference, I'm yet to find it. We can sit there and know exactly what the other is about to do or say.

I'd better get round to why I'm posting here. I have never really believed in fate, or a universal plan as such. Now my views have changed.

I've come to think that through all the hardships I've overcome, all the user morons I've gone out with, all the bad people, they were put there for a reason. To lead up to one point in time.
Now I'm not about to have a religious epiphany or anything like that.

It's like fate has slapped me about the head and proved it exists. Lady luck buggered off and fate stepped in.

Anybody know the answer? Or what I'm waffling about? Who knows. All I know is that I'm actually happy for the first time in my life. It scares me somewhat, as its a completely new feeling for me.

I'm with you on this one, Shok. I'm not a believer in coincidence and I daresay one who is more for synchronicity and things happening for reasons. Regardless of whether those things are truly valid (and I believe none of us know either way whether it is or isn't), and also of other things that me mentioning would be tangential, I say choose to learn something from whatever becomes of this moment in time.

Luck, or Will; either one clouds or brightens a life sooner or later

I always bet on Will however. It is easier to manipulate destiny rather than trust to blind, chaotic, and untrustworthy luck.

Whichever one occured for you should be savored and revered
