"Iron Sharpens Iron," is the idea that question, harsh statements and debate can lead to a better understanding of our own philosophy. Sometimes we want to give up, however, any reaction can lead to growth. Even when someone is simply abrupt or just not interested, to calm or make them interested knowledge is gained. Being mean to be mean is groteque, but why walk away from the challenge of letting someone know the outlines of the boundry.
It is good we have rules, but maybe you do not think so. Why?
well, i think some rules need to be there or the world would just me more chaotic than it is. but alot of rules are just stupid. i think we should go by morals. but then morals are a form of a rule too...hmmmm... makes you wonder if we even have freedom anymore? to a point we dont....and thats sad.
I see what you mean with your interesting ideal there... and yet
"Iron Sharpens Iron" though true.... if done too often can lead to you having only a small pile of iron particles...

Location: as a non-Christian, apparently it's partly my fault the World Trade Center Towers/Pentagon got crashed into. I apologize. never meant for my heathen ways to do THAT...
I think I might've interpreted that in an entirely different way. the way I saw that statement was, as long as you have a reaction to what someone says, you still care. you're still ready and able to change and see things in a different way. learn. most people think the opposite of love is hate and the opposite of hate is love. but love and hate are emotions where you really FEEL something and feel it strongly. indifference is when you feel nothing at all. you just don't care. so the destroyer and the exception to your theory/quote/whatever would be indifference? when you're indifferent you're truly dead...
did I make ANY sense? heh. sometimes I just don't know...

actually i agree with Dyshade here...to me wat he said is true to some extent...
but we are never completely free emotionally cuz of hate...and no one really has any complete physical freedom...cuz as long as there's a government and money there will never be total freedom.
i mean all in all, everyone can be free if they really wanted to be...but there is always gonna be a consequence if you choose to do that. kinda like that part from a music video i saw: every action has an equal or greater reaction...
