The Truth, or Lie? Which would you honestly prefer, and do you make a regular practice to lie constantly? Do you believe to lie is to survive in this world? ...and most of all, if it were up to you, which it is would you choose to tell the truth rather than a lie? My opinion's,and belief's
I am easily annoyed, and feel pressured to carry heavy wieght when others lie to me,and expect me to accept it,then counter lie about it..*Shudders in annoyance*
I honestly try to refrain from lying about something. I believe lying just postpones, or corrupts matter's that should be dealt with in full so it may cease.
Yet i am not saying i never have. there are just some of those cases when you can't help but, or its the first thing that comes out unintentionally.

of course, by this we have to define truth and Truth (note the capital T)... i know that the question is a seemingly straight forward one... but then again... its all in perception... as Obi-Wan would say... "Sorry son, I accidentally drove the lawnmower over your favourite kitten and turned her into a soggy pile of blood, meat and matted hair, I got you a new one though"
OR
"Tiddles had to go away but she sent this kitten here to take care of you"
Sometimes people simply don't need to know the truth.

I dunno, I'm not a cat person but running over a dog with a lawnmower sounds a bit far fetched does it not?

Sometimes people simply don't need to know the truth. | yes i know, but then the son would dive into depression, based on how much he's loved tiddles. but sooner, or later finds out the truth, and thing's get heavier, and more complicated, and hatred comes in.
even though that may not be the case sometimes, the truth always comes back, and this is why we humans need help...
it was just something going through my mind, just wondering everyone's opinion.

Best to tell the truth most of the time in case the lie comes back and bites you in the ass. Work is of two kinds: first, altering the position of matter at or near the earth's surface relatively to other such matter; second, telling other people to do so.

I say both...you live by both. No one is 100% honest...Sometimes you need to lie a bit to cheer someone up...lie to save your tail...and the truth is usually good lol....People appreciate the truth.....make a good balance of the two....
always,
*Mistress*Batty* thanks to my dear Jobe X for making my avatar....*hugs* always hun! =)

Sometimes being honest isn't the best thing...I believe that white lies are the only lies that are even a little acceptable...I'm not saying lie all the time, but if someone asks how do I look and they really look awful...I don't tell them that...I would say you look good, but why not try a different shirt that better suits your eyes...I'll admit I've lied to save my own ass or to cover for someone else...I'm not proud of it but it needs to be done at times...If I had to choose between telling the truth or lying I'd choose the truth if it was the best choice...

It's really more of telling enough of the truth so you're "technically" not telling a lie...your example of the clothing...it's true the person looks good...why mention the outfit...it's not a lie because you are not flat out telling the person that the outfit looks good...and it's true something else would look better It's all a matter of how you think about it To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. I lurve shopping
Especially for undies
I used to be a Lingerie designer so some of my mates girlfriends bring me with them when they go shopping for something special.
I have understanding (and trusting) friends
I also get away with oogling womens legs by using the excuse "I think they're one of my designs"
