how many of you have toyed ove the idea of heaven and hell, but still not clear, I was like that for a long time, I guess background knowlege is good, I was raised in a Seventh Day Advenstist home, stricked to witchcraft and all that shit that there religion had condemned. and well i had been thinking earlier into my depression that if this world is an imbetween then we could be in BIG trouble. so I thopugh and thought and thought. and now this is what I believe.
There is no heaven, or god, and if there is then he has no real say in anything, and hes of no real threat and if he leaves me alone its all good. I feel sfor those folks who have put there life into worshiping all the stories and tried to live a perfect life and have lost experience and have gained many guilts over it. To me this world is hell, a cold yet firey hell in witch im destined to roam tring despratly to find something that makes me feel complete, In my opion this is hell and we are all dead from a past life, and frrom that lies this world a parelle universe of the life that put us in this hell hole, when we die, wel all go to personal hell holes, in my case, i would be put right back here, you see I am destined to live this life over and over, and I ask, how and with whom can I coipe this with,

Oh there is a lot of "darkness" in most souls, but just being a dark soul does not mean you need to dwell on the miseries and pains that life throws at you...If you accept that dark part and embrace it, revel in it and open yourself, than there is a lot less emotional turmoil...admitting such facts is liberating and once you are...strong enough to accept life does have misery and pain, and hate and all that bad stuff...then you realize it is up to you if you will let it weigh down your soul and drag you into the depths of despair or will you draw upon that darkness and use it's power with yours giving you the strength to face such ordeals, and maybe one day of searching for what brings you peace, you'll see such...tiresom things as stepping stones and hurdles to growth, not a recession into hell...If you read many of the conversations you'll see that most agree that you make your own heaven or hell, if you choose hell, than well Xuley will be happy...can I get dibs on your soul?...

I have to say I agree with you on this topic, i don't think there really is any such thing as god or the devil, heaven or hell. i really think it's just a form of mass hysteria were everyone wants o believe i this devine creater so they can futher believe in the hope that there is something warm in comferting after death.

I think humanity created the devil because people were acting disrespectful to eachother and they needed something to keep them in line and to do that they said if you act like this you will be tortured for eternity in this world once you die. This may be why people fear death the most of anything, they never can truelly tell if they havebeen loyal to thier god and if they have met up to his standereds. SOme people my say I don't beieve in god or the devil because it's easier to see it that way, because I can just do anything I want. That could be true but it's not going to change my views.
So don't walk up to me saying "God still loves you!!!!"

humanity did not create the devil, christianity created the devil...our little Guy person explained it very impressively about how the early christians visiting all the "pegen" countries saw how they worshipped the horned god, who is their fertility/woodland being, and most often considered the Mother's consort...seeing the sexual revelerie he inspired they denounce him as evil, and used his symbolism to deploy their propaganda against pegenism...humanity being such wonderful sheep just jumped on the band wagon and played...the devil's advocate!

Heaven and hell... To explain my views, I first need to define them.
Heaven: A state of the soul, void of all desire. Be it in life or death. Rare to occur. Note that this is not the state of euphoria, the fulfillment of all desires. More closely comes, a total freezedown of the soul.

Hell: A state in which strong desires will never be fulfilled (or seem to). More common... Desires, craving... They all create needs. The ultimate hell is there, where the most basic needs of your soul are beyond your grasp.

In my views, neither of these is for me. But to another, either one may exist on earth.

I believe heaven,and hell are planet's extremely far away, where only the soul can travel. The earth,and its inhabitants where split in half, Giving the two sides a fair chance, since some one had to foul up in the begining, maybe adam,and eve. This is obviously an effective hypothesis, i mean, think about it. There is evil, yet there is good. Its all 50 50, in the end, everyone deserves what they get.

i too do not believe in either heaven or hell and agree with most of what raging revenge and dark-female said. it seems that there is a yearning to explain what we can't explain and we have created stories up to fit what life we want to lead. this in itself is alright, and as long as you are not hurting anyone else, so be it. but then again, i'm probably not the best one to be answering a question of belief since there is very very little i do BELIEVE in. although there is a lot that i ponder at, acknowledge etc. i don't have any belief system or base that i stand by, i know what i don't believe in, that being heaven and hell. i think this is one of the reasons it frustrates me when people tell me that they KNOW that [insert belief here ie. heaven] exists. how can they KNOW? my religious studies teacher told us not so long ago that she respected that we didn't all share her beliefs, and then she turned around and said, but she knew in her heart god and heaven was what she would go to when she died. this, to her was final and true. i thought that contradicted her respect for our own beliefs entirely.

it seems too tidy though that so many people believe in heaven/hell. is it because they are too lazy to think of their own more interesting and imaginative concepts or they have a mentality that if so many people past and present believe this it MUST be true, or does this itself 'confirm' the existence of such states?
