Is it that you believe the borderline conspiracy theory that the feminists are sponsoring works like The Vagina Monologue to margenalize men? (And if that's a problem doesn't it also dismiss Ms. Sommers? And did you miss this? That's a question, I really don't know if that's how you feel or not.
Maybe I just missed the point. But it really seems like you just threw a nonsense link at me. I see why someone else made that YHBT reference earlier. You say you speak with feminists - With the purpose of "embarassing " them, and that's sad. Is everything with your an argument? That's not speaking with someone, that's just coming into every conversation with an incredible bias. Believe it or not, some people with differing opinions can actually hold a conversation and disagree without attempign to "embarass" each other. Right now, you aren't coming off any better than the radical feminists - you aren't willing to listen. But, again, just to reiterate, I'd like to know what that URL had to do with what we were talking about. I may have missed the point. |
You said noone is trying to sto males form being masculine this dya and age. I posted an article that proves youre wrong. Hanoi Jane gave 12 million bucks to a womans who hates men and boys to finance a new study that will figure out how to get rid of thier toxic and evil masculinity. Youre wrong. You lose. come again.
12 million bucks says someone cares about it... some cares a whole fucking lot.

You know, I've been thinking about this for awhile, Billy. I want to hear your opinion about this. I really earnestly do. What is unmanly or emasculated about the things I described about myself? Does my ability to be comfortable with faggotry make me less of a man?
What kind of men are you looking for? What kind of a man is a real man? Because I'm baffled, here. How should a man be?
First, though, I'm going to go ahead and agree with what I think one of your implied beliefs is. Women should not define manhood. If anyone in the culture has the priveledge to describe the nature of men and masculinity, it is men and men alone. AND LIKEWISE, if anyone in the culture has the right to describe what a woman should be, and the nature of femininity, it is women and women alone.
Folks, you may have a lot of problems with the other gender, but your opinion ain't worth shit to them.
Now, that said, Billy, since we're talking about men, please tell me what you think a man should do. Please explain to me how I've been emasculated.
See, the way I figure it, I'm the right kind of man. I wouldn't live and act the way I do if I felt differently. I think I'm the right kind of man because the image of masculinity means nothing to me. My muscles, whether or not I cry when I'm hurting, how well I fair in a fight, how I dress, how I style my hair. These things mean jack shit to real manhood, in my opinion. What matters is the content of your character. I think the right kind of man has enough confidence in himself to let go of the image of masculinity and simply be himself.

See this is where I have a problem with you...
You think men and men alone should define whats masculine and what aman is, and yet the gender programming you have accepted for yourself is the product of emasculation and male hatred brought on by hordes of angry feminists who have infiltrated every level of society, from school teachers, to day time talk show hosts. Youve been had.

Tell me, what gender programming have I accepted for myself?
edit: See, it seems to me like you're assuming I didn't come to my conclusions about manhood and my own masculinity on my own. Yes, I have had mentors. No, not one of them has been female. Yes, there are a lot of things I really dislike and am repulsed by in American masculinity. No, I don't think that men have to be like that, and no, I don't think that's the way men just are. It's learned. A lot of it I simply find laughably pathetic. I'm fairly confident, however, that I understand all of it. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. And embrace the feminized version of "masculinity" that they preach these days.

What's so great about tradition, dude? Tradition ain't even that old. The home was only the sphere of women after the industrial revolution, barely 200 years ago. Before that, a man's highest ambition was to meet his father in achievement. Sports? Get out. Who needs to live vicariously when every day, you do work that makes you not feel like, but know you are a man? Gyms? What for? Farming is hard, and so was industrial work until fairly recently. Working men used to be physically instantly recognizable from any woman because of his strength. Now, men are petrified they'll be mistaken to be less masculine than they wish they were. With today's growing white collar world, men need more and more to compensate for their feeling of uselessness. Letting a woman cook for me, clean for me, and merely do as she's told is about the most emasculating experience I think I could imagine. I'm fully capable of taking care of myself, and no, I don't think women do it better. No one makes bean soup just the way I like it except me. And no, I don't think it makes me a pansy to pick up after myself. Needing to control a woman is as dependent and sad as begging for their approval. Whatever, man. What am I supposed to do? Get a whipped little chickadee, get my muscles all big, and give hell to everyone I don't like? Yeah, that's all behavior that COMPLETELY DOES NOT stem from insecurity. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I never said anything of the sort. If you can show me where I said that, I'll give you a dollar or something. What I said was that no one cares about showing their masculinity on the surface, and studying others' masculinity except for those without much masculinity to show. Here's the quote in question: Quote: |
but in the year 2006 the only people who care about half-baked examinations of masculinity are rednecks and dumb jocks - People who don't have much except for their masculinity to hold onto. And I can assure you that many of those types aren't as masculine as they want you to think they are.

i think a big problem with feminism is how a lot of girls "degrade" themselves (it might not be degrading in their point of view) but it gives people an image of how all women are. and that is. SEX. and damn i've already seen about 3 pictures of half naked women on this site and i just joined this shit today.
