Dam Self missed this thread in it's early stages an self is pressed for time now days but..

Love in a simple form is giving and careing .Shure theres a whole hell of alot more that can be added ,and the list will change from person to person ..LOVE is personal ..

Now is loving ones Self needed to love others ,its Self's experiance that this is a false hood there are lots of ppl who love others and think themselfs dirt ,However if one loves one self then yes they can love others BETTER and in more ways and WILL do so more often ..

Yes perhaps the ability to love is an obtainable level of EGO control ,once a person has become comportable with who/what they are and can control their emotions and their EGO they are able to love in the greater ways ..However Love is a strong emotion and usualy in one manner or another overwhelm a person and thats one of the best things about it! I love my wife and will do just about anything for her ( THE JUST part is me showing that yes to some degree I have BALLANCED my love for her instead of being blinded by it and being able to do rash and illogical things in the name of love .)

Speed of love :Instantaious !! tho to come to grips with this can take a long time depending on oneself and ones ability to cope whit emotions can the mentaly challenged feel love im shure MOst of them can ( theres bound to be some who cant as whe know it ) ..

Self knows Love on many levels and likes this aproch to disscussing it ..the Logic of love ...well I think it could be broken down to logical terms but most ppl wont like what they find once the magic has been revield ..But then again MOST ppl dont know what Love is anyways ! as reclaimed over and over in this thread so far ...If more ppl knew Love we wouldnt need MONEY ! etc. dam gotta run !

Jealousy is a tricky issue. This is just a post to remind myself to comment on this later... (too drunk at the moment, hehe...) *coughs*..although, one of my all time favorite direct metaphors to love is: "love is drunk all the time" ("Shame" - The Smashing Pumpkins)

Well Since the last time I posted on this one Ive done a Kinda Bad thing that will test some ppls LOVE and the outcome will depend on how much they love each other vs the amont of outrage,jealousy ,and overall betrayal damages their relationship ..Personaly I hope it all works out for the best !

The only reason Im upset is because ppl I care about got hurt ,esp by my actions! an yeah well I had help causeing the issue but none the less ! So My love for the ppl hurt is infact hurting me at the moment but I'll live ,,and like most things its bloody tragic in a trying to do good and having it backfire like a nuke in a paper bag! lol

After all, one could argue that a baby, or a child, which expresses love, or some sort of emotional substitue that can be viewed within the same context of love...WHILE, at the same time lacking true sentience (as, it is said, that most children truly become wholely sentient beings around the age of seven years), whereby the idea of self doesn't fit into their mold of thinking, thereby "loving on self" cannot be properly attributed to their character as they do not even have the slightest conception of what self truly entails...YET, as they do understand love, as love is one of the most basic (even though complex) emotions...ALL IN ALL, proves that one does not have to love oneself in order to love....

"to love, one must love one's self first" is about as justified as saying "to hate, one must hate one's self first" or "to sympathize, one must sympathize one's self first"......

it's a cute little expression and all, even if extremely cliche, but it adds nothing to the philosophical standing on "what is love" whatsoever; and in the end, it just isn't the case...

love is... the advancement of another at the expense of one's self.

it's not love if there is an obsession
it's not love if you are having an infatuation over someone
it's not love if you are in lust with someone

ok we all know that these aren't the resemblance of love. with all of these feelings that we would feel about someone. getting them confused with this "love" feeling that most people will think of that to be it... we all know that it's not.

then why the hell do most people of humanity get that confused and classify all of what i said to be love?

still we know it's not. but those feelings will always take it's course and actions.

when does the love feeling start to REALLY take it's own course and actions involved with two people?

i know i have total confusion with all of that from what i had mentioned. because i'm that way myself.

thought i should ask so i could get more information.

but hey i'm not the only one that has that as an issue.

also how can there be love if it ment and used differently with other people? between families and friends in that sort of line...
