which do you think is a better consciousness.....clear minded or drug induced?

it depends on the mood i'm looking for..if i need to be sharp and quick witted I'll stay clean, but sometimes all the thinking gets to be too much and when I go for...a more mellow approach...so I think both states are equally important...as long as the drugs don't come to rule your life...than it's a bad thing...

can't say exactly as i never been in a drugged state, but i think i would prefer a clear mind.

In my experience (which is some, but not a whole lot...shut up Gemsamay), I like the clear-minded state of mind. Also, I have dated several girls who prefer a drug-induced state of mind. They are usually worried about other things besides you and...yeah...I am gonna stop before I go off.

I don't do drugs, but I'm not against them. I think it's terrible to see people fuck up thier lives because of their addictions, but you can do that with out ever touching drugs, so it doesn't seem like a very convincing reason not to do them. Some of the greatest people I know are druggies, and so are some of the worst people.

I personally prefer 'clear-minded' which if you ask me is none to clear anyway. However, I don't have any thing against drugs or alcohol, unless it really messes up your life, then have fun!

drugs may be a good experience for some people on a "touch and go" basis. other people are genetically addicts, and cant stop. but it does open your mind to broader mindset, as long as it doesnt get out of hand.

there is no such thing as a genetic addict to manmade drugs... perhaps there is a predisposition to abuse a drug dealing with impulse control and what not, but there are plenty of Native Americans who are "predisposed" to drink to excess who dont.

ok, i grew up near a reservation. and the amount of liquor and drugs that were done there is amazing. but of course there are always the ones that arent interested or dont feel the need. but in a lot of people, if they seek drugs in a depressive state, they will go back to relying on drugs to take them out of their normal state of mind.

ah, but the pure definition of addiction and addiction to manmade drugs is just different enough to make it notable as a chasm of seperation... perhaps a chasm with a bridge over it, but when you make a leap such as was done earlier you fall right in...

That's easy, since you want a better conciousness, it would be clean.

Why? Because drugs do not make your conciousness better, but instead cause people to be less concious of their surroundings and more.. well... fucked up.

not better in the sense of which is purer or more true......besides, even in a drug induced consciousness one can advocate it for deeper understandings......

for example, if it was not for the Greeks finding out about alcohol, they would not have had some gods, and anything else, yaddah yaddah yaddah.....

also, like someone once said, drugs aren't all that bad, because all that music you grew up on, (not all of course) was written by drug induced feelings.....

I haven't take drugs, but I have seen others taking it, seen the effects, and I saw them waste their life into nothingness.

Drugs reduce tresholds, but control at the same time. To cross those tresholds without forfeiting control would appear me the better conciousness.
