Can anyone decipher dreams? I swear I am innocent....Just look at my horns that hold my halo up.

hmm when it comes to dreams, they are very relative to the dreamer. you can get a dream book or go onlinetoa dream website, but those are rather broad meanings. the best person to decipher dreams is the dreamer. if you tell me your dream i can give you a broad meaning of it, but for the specifics you will have to find those yourself. i belive that dreams are the effect of one's stimuli to the brain. in effect, the brain organizes the stimuli to bring out any unconscious desires or problems one would have. like i said, if you tell me your dream i can do my best to narrow down the dream to anxiety, love/lust, or something along those lines. unless i knew you personally, i can not relate the dreams to your life's unconscious. I agree with Sorrow , the only one that can explain the things you dream . . . is you ! The only one that can make the connection between reality and your dreams . . . . . . . . . . . . . . why decipher your own dreams? you should also remember. that dreams are only dreams and that they don't really mean anything about your life outside of the dream world. people would call that world reality. it's just stories that your brain tells you when you fall asleep at night is mainly all that it is and does. dreams are nothing serious unless if you make them feel that they are serious. to where you think and strongly believe that they mean something to you on the outside of your real life. though it's only what i think. you believe what you want to believe out of this. you might not buy any of this on what i'm saying. but it's cool. but yes a person can decipher their own dream. just like sorrow has said you go to a book store and get a book on dream interpretation or you can go online..

I agree with sorrow and with Diva on this. Dream dictionaries won't really give you the answers you are looking for, though to some extent there are theories on that we all do have collective consciousness type dreams or that there are some themes that are universal.
Even with this idea, there are still a lot of ways to spin them. For interesting reading, try something by Gayle Delaney, or for something more heavy reading about collective consciousness, try Carl Jung. I suggest steering clear of Freud.
I would say the easiest way to analyze is to just simply think about the emotions you were feeling in the dream, and parallel them to things in waking life (usually current, though past can play into it, or for some of us, future as well). The symbology can be a little trickier, as humans don't generally dream literally, but in metaphors and other symbols as most times the normal consciousness and the other levels of consciousness don't really speak the same "language" ....also it either can't or doesn't want to comprehend things. "Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people."---C. G. Jung

you shouldn't translate dreams to reality, but reality to dreams. O divine art of subtlety and secrecy! I had started a dream journal when I was in high school, I had tried to decipher my dreams. In the process, I had learned that I dreamt about food a lot or my dreams consisted of how I felt or what I was doing that particular day. Some of my dreams were premonitions of what was going to happen the next day or a few days from now. My mom used to have premonitions as well.
My suggestion to you is to start a journal about what you did on a particular day. Before you go to bed, keep the journal by your bedside and remember to write about your dream the minute you wake up. That might help you to decipher your dreams.

I've tried keeping a dream journal. These dreams don't make sense to me what so ever. A strange man recurring that can do strange things and i do mean strange. Blowing on a flower and it becoming glass, oh and then did I mention he jumped from a tower and sprouted angel wings. That just 2 of them, I ve been having them like this for evey nigh for 3 weeks.
I know I'm crazy but hell fire.....the mans starting to peeve me just a little bit. I swear I am innocent....Just look at my horns that hold my halo up.

There are some universal symbols that mean the same in all dreams... for instance: tying someone's shoelaces in a dream means they are going to die.
You can find a book that has the universal meanings easily if you look for it.
But you are a consumer. You expect others to give you answers about your own inner self! You do not want to go through the difficult self-questioning, and self doubt and self-exploration that would help you understand the truth about yourself better.

what does it mean if i dream of killing squirrels, gutting them from their behinds and using their warm, squish and cylindrical bodies to.... warm my toes? O divine art of subtlety and secrecy! figure out what the symbols in the dreams mean to you...a good example is from one of my psychology teachers.
for several weeks he was having a recurring dream of being on the way to school, and suddenly chased by dogs and finding solace once in the school, once there they would change into people.
he concluded it represented his feelings of the lack of academics he found in the world, the dogs represented the uneducated masses, and the school was solace because people learned there...essentially turning the beasts into humans.
he was freudian.
but it's no different than a man dreaming of being bit by a snake, not realizing he saw a snake in the corner of his eye earlier in the garden, but his subconscious mind registered it and sent him the message to watch himself.
or he felt his sexual attractions were inflicting pain upon his physical self...but that would be using universal symbolism rather than personal symbolism. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
