Martin Heidegger is my favorite philosopher. A Nazi-supporter who had a sexually open relationship with his wife...rock on!
By the way, his wife was the hardcore Nazi supporter, he just loved her so much . . . and none of his philosophy has anything to do with Nazisim whatsoever. For, in all seriousness, he's one of the best unknown philosophers to have existed. Sure, philosophers know who he is, but people who love philosophy rarely speak of his name. He's extremely easy to read, had some rather controversial theories, sort of set the precedent for the Matrix-thought, and dabbled in existentialism as well as nihilism.
But, rather than sticking to philosophers, I stick to philosophies. First and foremost I am a fan of existentialism. And I love absurdism (think of Albert Camus' Myth of Sysphus . . . also a key work in existentialism). And . . . I have to be getting to work, so I'll come back later. I was masturbating
