death?why do we die? its a strange thought. and after we die, where do we go?heaven?hell? is this true?,or is it black...nothing that would suck if it were nothing, but yet it wont matter cause you would be nothing.
space, how big is it?,where does it lead?are there other life on other planets?aliens?mosters?space cretures with sharp teeth?is there an end to space?if so,where? a giant black wall?if not,how can it keep going forever?I read that with the most powerful radar in the world,we can see that if you go out far enough into space that there are no more stars, therefore,an end.at this place, whats there?a wall?a invisible forcefelid?or can you just keep going, without stars or planets......just.....black.......

twisting your mind and, smashing your dreams,

About the edge of space heres an idea: wot if there is no boundary but space is not infinite. This sounds confusing but let me give an example. If the earth was totaly flat had no water, mountins etc, if i got in my car and started driving i could keep going forever as i would keep going round and round the earth. I would never reach the edge but then again the earth is not infinite so the surface of the earth is liek the universe that i described at the start. clever hey. just a thought

eeeee
too many questions too quickly
*plops down and starts sobbing
maybe you should divide each bit up but i'll have a go... death?why do we die?
who knows? what is death? if it's simply the end of life of a body, then it's because the body is either too damaged or too old to continue to function. but if you're talking soul/spirit wise, well that's a big question. space, how big is it?,where does it lead?
it's hard to imagine anything to be infinite, but lets just say it's very big. and about the idea that the universe just ends and it's kinda just floating there, that's alright, but what is it floating in? and just tryin to imagine what it's floating in is so...wow. it would be so massive. [and then we find out everything in our little universe is some matter in an atom in something really insignificant like little pete's wooley jumper in someone else's world. i suppose it a bit like in men in black and the galaxy in that marble jewel thingie on the cat. are there other life on other planets?aliens?mosters?space cretures with sharp teeth?
i'd think so, life on earth hasn't existed forever, well we're a relatively new planet in the bigger scheme of it all [but of course that's what they want us to think...an entirely different thread] and if not, does that mean that before us, the whole universe was devoid of life? and how about when our earth ceases to exist [and we don't have little colonies in massive spaceships] does that mean that the universe will be empty again? it seems so pointless if it's all just for us.
i'll add more later me thinks have you seen my marbles?

but what i dont get is if space is expanding, what is it expanding into? For somthing to shrink and or expand is has to have a previous size, somthing with a definite size in which can grow and shrink is certainly not infinite. So whats the deal with that??... ~:fAllen sTar:~

The very idea that the universe is infinite astonishes me.
I find it hard to accept that something goes on forever, human logic and understanding I guess. Hello my children... welcome to my flock, everyone's welcome here.. some ask if i'm a follower of God.. 'Well', I say to them, 'There is Dark and Light, and one cannot live without the other' - And in this way I introduce them to my methods.. yes, my methods.. sometimes they are painful but they show the true light, and their truth is already there before I work to ease your soul of it's troubles, yes, you must feel the truth within you, the truth that is I... yes, i'm sure you feel it tugging at your chest.. u feel it, the connection.. don't worry, don't be afraid.. i've always been with you.. always been within you... The Deacon, he tends his flock wherever he walks, he's got a neat line in mind control and psyonics, a real man with the visions.. be careful with this guy, his followers are everywhere and they seem to be linked...

A lot of people believe in those sad little grey alien things that look uncommonly like us.
I think that their just making it up, really.
But that doesn't mean that I don't believe that there is other life out there; it just means that it probably doesn't look like us.
I mean, of all the shapes and forms alien life could be, do we have to be so egotystical as to assume that their gonna look just like us?! I don't want to be remembered...

Interesting. A sort of "Wrap around" universe... It probably could be true. Has it ever been proven the third dimension stretches to all three sides into infinity?
A circle has no beginning or end. Is it therefor infinite? Thoughts I must ponder... ... Time has no bearing... ...when the whiteout begins...

Space would just be a balloon with infinite volume to expand. Man is superior to the stars if he lives in the power of superior wisdom. i understand ur analogy, but i want to deflate it so to speak (and pardon the pun)... if the universe is a ballon, then what is its maximum expansion volume and what happens when that is exceeded? for the universe is like a balloon and carries the same properties, if there is enough force to inflate it from the inside without any outside interferance, then it stands to reason that said force would be able to counteract the elastic forces (perhaps strong and weak nuclear) of the universe such as to destroy it... see the flaw of this analogy? ___Nick_the_Rogue___ To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. I believe that you may be reading too much into this, an enallage is just that: a simple way to view an idea without being bogged down in details.
If space is truly infinite, then it will never run out of room to expand. Ever. _If_ the numbers for the universal mass work out. Too much mass, the universe will continue to expand (Open universe model), too little and it will constrict back down into a singularity (Closed universe model). If the mass/energy balances out, then the universe will only expand so far, before it stabilizes (Static universe model).
Now this deals with the _universe_ not space. Space, of course, is what the universe expands and/or contracts in. Space itself, for all intents and purposes, can be considered infinite. It exists on a scale that we, at this time, cannot accurately measure. Man is superior to the stars if he lives in the power of superior wisdom. Such a person, being master over heaven and earth by means of will, is a magus. And magic is not sorcery, but supreme will.
