Actually it is all in who you talk to..... some people consider all of his stuff works of fiction while others consider them historical truths..... all of his books are research papers basically.... written by him to get his theory across..... so no matter what you read you will have to make that decision yourself.....
I myself tend to think that some of his ideas are a little far fetched... but the basic premise of his theories are well grounded and factual.....

ok.. I just didn't want to start reading a science fiction series like L Ron Hubbard or another might have written.
The Earth Chronicles series seems to be labeled as fiction, although it reads like non-fiction to me. If its labeled as fiction because its an opinion or theory.. thats one thing. If its knowingly fiction in that Z.S. purposely fabricated things for literary sake, thats one reason I'd rather not read the series.
However, it does give me a lot of jumping off points that I can do some of my own research on.. so far I'm enjoying it for that sake.
Have you read the whole series ? Which is your fave of his books ?

I have read the entire series.... and i like them all actually....
according to ZS they are not fiction...... he corrected some mistranslations which shed a new light on some of the older Sumerian tales..... it is mostly those that get frustrated because of thier religious beliefs that attempt to prove his work fictitious....
He is not at all comparable to L Ron Hubbard.... who in my mind was a fraud.... Dianetics is a money making pyramid scheme.....
