What do a tree and a computer have in common? Until about a year ago, nothing. In the new world, the new war, the commonality between them is the fact that if you let your guard down either one will take advantage of the fact and gorge themselves on your remains. I almost laugh now to think about those doomsayers and those absurd religious types who told us all that the end was coming. Noone really guessed how little sense it would all make in the end. Those sad priests and loners who thought that their perception of the end would somehow make the transition smoother for them.. Heh, they were the first dead. The examples made by either the machines or good old mother nature. I suppose one's race can be a plague to its habitat for only so long before it becomes a pest recognized by both its tools and homeland. It's a moot point anymore to argue as to the "Why's" of the situation. Most of the scientific minds worldwide were vulnerable when the change happened. Shit, maybe it's been their fault from day one. They probably just decided to play with fire and got burnt in a big way. Well, it's pointless speculation on my part. John died yesterday...I don't even know what to call the beast that ripped him like a piece of raw beef. I thought things like that only existed in the mind. Fortunately, he had left the shotgun with me, so I'm quite intact and alive. "How much longer?" is the one question I can't help but ask... But nothing is predictable here. Not in the new war.

This is just a teaser. I'll elaborate on the idea later. I don't want to give too much away. I have enough time on my hands to think up elaborate bits like this. Anyway, enjoy. Hopefully there will be more.

Well, actually I only have about half the idea locked in my head. I don't know quite how to elaborate on it yet ^_-. I'll keep posting though, don't you fret now. I mean, at any rate, my longest absence from here has only been about 4 months, right? hehe
