Delyla was content with the course of events so far. She had made her way past the mud mound with very few obstacles and was now making her way through the poppy fields towards the castle. Dorthy and the scarecrow sprinted past her laughing and skipping. Delyla ran after them determined not to let the Tin man make it to the castle befor her. She had come so far, but where was Rydin? She realized she hadn't seen him since they had sunk into the mud mound. This wouldn't be the first time he has dissapeared on his own. She hoped he had gotten out safely. Perhaps he would be waiting for her at the castle.
Delyla stopped in her tracks. Wasn't this scene familiar? Something twitched in the back of her brain and she felt herself become very light almost wieghtless. Everything in her vision began to fade into golden light. She felt herself getting heavier. No! Not now! We just made it. She looked out watching the other fall to the ground in a sleepy daze as they faded into the light.
The sun was peircing through the crack in the curtains drenching Delyla with its warm glow. Someone banged on the door loudly. "Come on Deli! It's time for school!"
Kurt brushed his hair back trying to comb out the dent in his black hair. It seemed like the same kind of pointless shit he had to do everyday day of his life. Why should anyone care if he has bed-head? The greasyness just added on to his generally unkept look. He threw the brush across the room knowing he would have to dig through the pile of shit to find it again. He wondered why he even had to wake up at all. Why couldn't he just spend the rest of his life in the dream realm with Quin? Of course he knew damn well why but that didn't stop him from wandering.
Trey sat on the bus and stared out into the bleak rainy streets. The people in the seats behind him chattered away about thiers affairs but no of the words reached him. He was already asleep drifting through the clouds on a boat propelled by his mind. The rain was now beneath him and the sky up here was as blue as bliss. Something sparkled in his vision and he caught its light in the corner of his eye. A small sparkle fell into his boat right beside him. he picked it up and held it in his palm. It shone like a little star. It burned like one too. He cryed out in pain and dropped it. it began to melt its way through the boat bottom. "Shit!" Trey grabbed the little star and not knowing what else to do he ate it. It burned the whole way down his throat and twice he was tempted to cough it it but he swallowed hard and it sank to his stomach. Suddenly he became aware of the hole in his boat. The clouds began the leak into his boat and he was soon submerged in fog. He srtruggled to stay atop the clouds but he couldn't fly to well and sank deeper until he was surrounded. Something rumbled and jerked. A loud squeal of brakes. The doors opened and the cold air swooshed in sending a shiver down Treys spine. His stomach rumbled again as he blinked and sat up.
Tune in next week as i continue the story.
