I decided to start a scar band with my friends jack and Sam jack collected gold rings ironically he also played the strings I played the sax and Sam was going to sing

On Saturday Jack said to me he needs money to buy more rings so hour first gig was Wednesday. Sam came in I told him of Wednesday and he said” but we have no name”

Their was a nock at the door a package had came it was for me a gift from my best friend I open it excitedly it was a wet dead monkey.

So we became The Dead Monkeys we practiced all through Sunday but Jack had school on Monday so Sam filled in on the strings and I had to sing

Tuesday and we whent to see my girlfriend sue who was making our customs we had coffee wile Jack and Sam watched TV we left in blue dress suits we look pretty stupid I can tell you.

We practiced on Wednesday Jack waged Sam said he was sad I was to worried to ask him for more detailed information the big night came the stage was set Bright lights and the sounds of people raged

Nervously we waited backstage Sam hugged me I wanted to offer him comfort but the introducer was saying hour name

Fear in our hearts we stepped out on stage I looked at jack and jack looked at me with in trepidation in my voice I grub the mike and screamed “we are the Dead Monkeys”

Their was a loud bang as the other mike dropped and Sam ran from the stage I followed leaving Jack to handle the show I was more worried for Sam then him in these types of moments he seems to shine throw


Out of breath I find Sam in the bath room his eyes were red and filled with tears he then explained the story I had given him the dead monkey (he had a interest in taxidermy) and he showed it to his mummy during the night it turned in to a zombie and killed his poor mummy Heart broken he had find her and killed the blood thirsty monkey.

I was angry at my best friend for sending me the monkey he would not clam responsibility for it becoming a zombie.


Time past and we lost track of each other I heard later jack had a solo career and Sam formed the society for the eradication of monkeys what about me you ask well I formed a metal band and out of respect for Sam’s mummy we named our self the un dead monkeys.
