Quickly approaching the Forrest, Sorcha slows her pace. The cool night air blowing through her fur. So always had felt so powerful, so safe when she was in her lioness form. She stretched her legs a bit, clawing at a tree. She felt like a little kitten. Giggling to herself she slowly stood up on her hide legs. Taking the shape of her true self. Adjusting her self and fixing her hair, she walks into the Forrest.

Sorcha closes her eyes and lets her memory guide her back to the entrance to Hiros world. Not sure how she would manage to open the portal, her mind fixed on finding it first. She would worry about opening it later.

Walking through the Forrest avoiding every try, as though she had her eyes open. She walks right up to where Hiro had taken her when she had thought that things were going to turn out differently. She opens her eyes to see the tree where the portal once stood. She sits against it, pondering how she was going to manage to open it. Thinking to herself, "Well Hiro did create me, so we are connected in that sense. If he can open it then surely I can too."

Sorcha stands in front of the portal, she waves her hand the way he had, concentrating on the portal, but nothing happened. Not being the patient person she had once been she sits back down. Sending her thoughts out, "Hiro, if you can hear me, tell me how I can open this portal... I can't sit here and do nothing anymore."

*Walking up in front of Sorcha, Lenina places her hands on her hips and frowns. Flicking her hair out of the way of her eyes, she bites her lower lip tilts her head.*

We can't do this Sorcha, look at us, we are weak compared to Hiro and the others, this is wrong, we put ourselves at risk along with Hiro and the others if we go through to that world.

*Sitting down next to Sorcha, Lenina breaks out into a half smile and shakes her head.*

I did good fighting Set and his minions didn't I... So did you, how is that arm of yours?

*Looking down the rows of trees that are in front of her, she puts her head down and begins to speak.*

I don't like waiting here for them, Set worried me when he started talking about some creature called Eden or something. Sorcha, Im inquisitive like that, I wish to know who or what Eden is. Do you know? The answers are all through that door here, I want to go but but if this Eden creature is as powerful as Set makes it out to be then I wish to wait a little longer. But I bare my right to protect myself and if that means protecting you also then I will not hesitate to do so.

*Standing up slowly, Lenina draws her dagger, her eyes widen as she hears the voices in the wind, directing her off her pattern of thought. "Endless, I hear you." Turning to Sorcha, Lenina shakes her head and scowls.*

Please excuse me, I hear them, all of them.....

*With those words, she turns and runs out of sight, wanting to be nearer the voices, the torture.*

"Yes, yes I know. But even if we went I would not need you to protect me. I can handle myself." Sorchas head still resting on her knees. "Hiro, Janos, if you can hear my thoughts please answer me."

She looked up to see Lenina walking away. "Well now where are you going?" jumping to her feet she runs after Lenina, walking farther into the Forrest...

*DarkWind walks in and says..I smell evil and keeps on walking*

*slowly walking and looking at the trees and all the beauty of the out doors giggles*

"Were is the portal at"

Moments later, Hiro and Orquid entered into the Forest. The portal to Hiro's world was many miles away, and between the two destinations there lay great evils.

Pulling his blade from his back, the limbs and weeds disappeared as they were cleanly sliced by Hiro's cutting edge. However, as they walked, the branches immediately swarmed back, blocking their path. As Hiro's blade ate through the limbs, blood splashed from within them and onto his clothing and creamy skin. "This Forest is like the Hydra. Cut off one branch, one limb, one tree, and two more grow in its place. It's designed to swallow travelers and would-be adventurers to keep them from finding the portal. And, as you can see from the blood, this Forest is alive. It's a giant entity in itself, a conciousness bound by the souls it has taken and robbed of mortals and immortals alike, bound to your world by the chains of revenge. This thing's presence warps animals, mutates them. And, if you stay in here too long, you'll change too. That's why we must continue haste. But be warned that the Forest isn't going to make it easy. It will send its minions in our path to stop us." Hiro was home again. Home, where the hurt is. He was somewhat optimistic, however, in knowing he was immune to the Forest's mutating effects. After all, he had lived here for centuries as a young Vampire, back when mortals still strayed from the paths of technology. And now here he was again...helping a girl he hardly knew to find a pendant to a woman he wouldn't have given a second thought to skewering.

With a heavy sigh, Hiro continued on deeper, the limbs closing like wooden mouths behind them, hating himself for his own kindness.

Stalking shortly behind Orquid, Vorach followed Hiro's lead as he cut a swath of destruction through the Forest. Easily he slipped between the regrowing branches and vines as they sought to regain the ground lost to Hiro's blade.

Suddenly an immense creeking and splintering of wood from behind caused Hiro and Orquid to turn, her battle snarl instantly crossing Orquids features, while Hiro stood tall glaring. Looking back they could see two huge trees being forced apart as they sought to twist together. Invisibe to their eyes Vorach hung in mid air as he held the held the trees at bay. Dropping his Clouding, and shimmering into solidarity as the time for guile was over, he swung his legs bckwards and sprung from between the enormous boughs. Landing easily he looked up at the two unliving particularly the glaring Hiro, casually he rose to his feet and dusted himself off.

[COLOR=sky blue]"Well I guess the jig is up, do not glare at me Hiro I don't believe for a moment that you didn't know I would be following you, now shall we continue, the Forest is regrowing as we speak."[/color]

Growling in reply, Its about time you stopped hiding. If you realize I know that you're there, even though I can't tell 'where' exactly, why bother?"
Not waiting for an answer Hiro turned and continued onwards while Vorach nudged Orquid a little and followed behind.

*looks around as hiro introduses the new danger to the quest
as she turns she finds that Vorach L'Strahd is close in to hem as she trys to tell hiro she is suprised by Vorach L' Strahd out of no were she takes her blade and cutts Vorach L' Strahd hand just a little so the blood can go out *

Looking at his hand Vorach watches the scratch heal. Raising his eyes to Orquid he says,

[Color=sky blue]Well that is no way for a lady to behave, really that kind of reaction was uncalled for. Please learn to be responsible or someone might get hurt. And you really you are not up to challenging me.[/color]

As his last word left his mouth his left hand shoots forward and grabs Orquids wrist in a grip of unyielding stone. Twisting her wrist outwards, Orquid is turned away from him. Squeezing slowly he can feel the bones bending and beginning to splinter under the pressure. With a slight shake the blade drops from Orquids fingers and he catches it in his right hand. Releasing her wrist he pushes her away from him.

Casually he pockets the weapon.

Hiro's eyes glow their familiar red, molten glow. In a quick snap of his arms the tip of one pistol is in Orquid's mouth, the other pointing at Vorach's forehead. His voice breaks through the silence of the Forest, carrying with it authority, power. The stuff legends are made of. "That's enough. If anyone's going fight anyone, it's going to be me. We have much more important things to worry about. Like staying alive. You've both made the great mistake of underestimating the Forest. That can get you killed. Even a being of your prowess, Vorach." With that he turns abruptly, both pistols falling back into their destined places. The veins in Hiro's forehead stand out boldly, pulsing with stolen blood. The tendons on his neck bulge as he takes a deep breath, managing to contain his emotions. For the time. Despite his attempts, he can feel energy rising in his arms. He had to do something, and quickly, before he turned on those whom were his comrades.

His arms were covered in a pulsing blue energy. Hiro faced both palms out into the Forest. With a short spasm of his body the haze flies out in a massive pillar, engulfing and destroying all that lay in its path. What was left was smoldering undergrowth. However, before the traveler's eyes small green shrubs began to burst from the ground and sapling shot up as if the ground was a loaded pistol. "I suggest moving hastily." With that and a flick of his legs Hiro's body careened down the pathway, his blade slashing occasionally to rid the way. They were almost there now. But there was something ahead. He could smell it.

The loaded pistol was of no threat, but Vorach did as he was asked, Hiro was right after all, besides he could smell the almost palpable rage building. Suddenly Hiro released an immense blast of energy, blazing a trail for them.

[Color=sky blue]You are right, we should move quickly.[/color]

Hiro immediately sprung into motion his powerful legs pounding the earth under foot as he stampeded through the scorched tunnel. Crouching Vorach leapt through the air landing mid-step just behind Hiro maintaining the same pace. Extending his senses he could feel something was ahead, but he could not identify it.

[Color=sky blue]There is something ahead, I can feel it, it may try to stop us from reaching the portal.[/color]

Grinning, Hiro spoke without turning his head: "OF course there is, you know that. If this Forest can warp a person into something like me, imagine what it can do to wild beasts." Hiro's body suddenly stopped, the dirt in front of him billowing out in a massive cloud from the small air boom his body had created in the open lands. His nostrils flared as the scent of the thing flooded his senses. They needn't go to it: it was coming to them. "Vorach, you know what to do. Prepare yourself. We have but a few moments." The monstrous howl of some massive creature could be heard through the air, and felt as vibrations under their feet. Hiro knew what it was...but it was different now. It had..changed.

Coming to a sudden halt beside Hiro, Vorach's luminous hair flicked forward. Hearing Hiro's words it seemed to him that Hiro may know the beast.

[Color=sky blue]Methinks you know this thing. I will take your advice, much of the Forest is a mystery to me.[/color]

Raising his Clouding to its maximum his vanished into the air, moving to his right he reached into a nearby shadow and withdrew a strange sword, a yatagahn; the handle - a human spine, the blade a shimmering silver metal. Swinging the sword nostalgically, it hissed audibly as it cut the air.

[Color=sky blue]Ahh my old friend how we dance in the darkness again.[/color] Vorach said looking at his ancient weapon, his eyes like globes of mercury reflecting the blade's shimmer.

The rumbling intensified, the canopy of the trees shaking with every step the creature took. The way the ground cracked and the booms echoed, a creature seemed to be nearby, and yet none was visible.

Hiro's body suddenly flew backwards, a fine jet of blood trailing behind him, as his body drove painfully into the viny earth. With a quick snap of his body he had flipped over forward over his skull, only to have the many vines on the earth entangle his arms and legs, slowly travling up his body. From all around a deep hissing could be heard, ghostly child-like laughter ringing from the Forest. Carrying through the wind, a voice leaks into Vorach's and Hiro's ears: "You have come back to my Forest, Hiro, and now you shall never leave it!"

With a gritting of his teeth he tore through the vines, their severed ends flailing about wildly as blood burst over Hiro's body. In an instant his massive blade swung about at a slighly diagonal angle, slicing through the weeds. He leaped up into the air, his coat blowing majestically at the rising air. His body spun around towards the thunder, his hand covered in a strange red glow. Whipping his hand forward a sphere of red and black light shot out and smashed into the ground, sending a dirty plume of massive proportions rising into the air. As the dust cloud passed over the Forest, a massive, dragon-like shape was silhouetted in the dust. As the plum vanished, so did the silhouette and they were left staring at open air yet again. "Careful Vorach! The creature can Cloud! But be warned the creature may want us both but the Forest only wants me!" Hiro's body flew down into the earth again, his stomach opening as something invisible shredded through his skin. Landing on all fours he quickly did a double somersault onto his feet and flung forward, blade held at his side, and swung a full-arching blow at the air, guessing and hoping the creature still lingered. The scream of agony and the black blood that spilled to the ground answered his question, but before he could fall back he felt a giant claw entwine around his body. Pushign against the monstrocity he could keep it from crushing him, but it wasn't exactly the most conveniant place to be in with the Forest teeming out to get him in a tempest of vines, roots, and tree appendages.

This was highly unexpected, never had Vorach encountered a creature whose ability to Cloud was so strong, yet it was still flawed in the ususal manner. Hiro was pinned by the beast's massive form. Conveniently it seemed unaware of Vorach's prescence. Rolling from the side Vorach came up under the beasts belly, 'Lets see how it likes this', he though to himself as he plunged his sword upto the hilt in the underside of its abdomen. With a swift and powerful swing, with the embedded blade, he sliced an arc through the creatures body until his blade was free. Rolling to the side the beast roared in rage and agony as blood and bodily fluid rained from its belly upon the forest floor. The creature turned, removing its claw from Hiro as it sought to find its attacker. Vorach sprung into the air, and dropped his Clouding, giving the beast a target. Landing nimbly upon the bough of a nearby tree he shouted to the freed Hiro.

[Color=sky blue]Hiro it can hide no longer, while it continues to bleed its location is known. We must dispatch it quickly, before it has time to heal. Remember your sight is your enemy, Close your eyes and focus, feel the waves of distortion it emanates, they wil be a beacon to its location.[/color]

Seeing Vorach perched upon the branch the beast snarled.

You shall die for your meddling old one, you possess the Cloud gift but it will not save you from me.

With that the beast charged, its bulk pounding the earth beneath it. Blood and fluid continued to pour from the wound on its belly, but it would soon close. Vorach crouched and sprung into the air, with an act of great speed the beast turned batting Vorach with its powerful tail causing him to drop his sword and sending him careening into a tree. The tree expoded into splinters as Vorach crashed through it into the small clearing behind, his body struck the ground and bounced, his motion stopped as he struck a tree on the opposite side of the clearing and dropped to the ground hard. Rising to his feet he shook his head for a moment, he hadn't been hit that hard in millenia.
