*giving a nod to Vorach and smiling at arienda Sard seems to fade to grey then black and stepps into a shadow disapearing save for a deeper darkness in the shadows*

""Arienda, will you come with me? Vorach... you are older then me by far. if you follow the other two, I would like to speak with you later if i could..."

*two glowing eye's flash in the darkness*

Smiling at Silverflame He inclines His head then turns to Sard and does the same.

He says stepping onto the sill. Stepping out He rises lightly into the air, soaring high over the trees He looks down and sees Felix's vitae slipping agily between the trees. Looping backward He swoops down toward the ground in a broad arc, missing the ground by only a few feet He shoots into the forest. Trees pass as if in slow motion, but would appear a dark blur to mortal eyes as He barrel rolls and weaves between them.

*Quickly Arianda grabs ahold of Sard's wrist before he dissapears completely and fades off with him. Where they are headed, she is not sure. Arianda grips Sard's wrist tighter, not sure where they will end up. Biting her lower lip, Arianda wraps her other arm around her own waist.*

some steak might be nice. silverflame carefully sets down her book of shadows next to her dinner plate.

so what would you like to know about me? i must admit, however, that i'm quite modest when it comes to speaking about myself. silverflame offers a small smile.

Lost snaps a finger an steak appears. He was good at such things. Reality was his bitch.

"Tell my the begining and i will ask more from that. if you will please."

hmmm...let's see...my parents met when my father, Adrien, was riding through the forest and had been injured. upon seeing a small shack, he knocked on the door with his other comrades. my mother, a young wild beauty, opened the door and invited them inside. my father would have succumbed to his wounds had it not been for that powerful witch who applied an herbal potion to his arm and helped him recover from the fever that had begun to set in. as you already know, a vampire can die if a wound becomes so infected that fever cannot be fought off, but this is only true if the bite wound is caused by another vampire. silverflame said, choosing her words carefully.


so Adrien fell in love with the witch, my mother, Morrigan. the law of the law governs that a vampire and witch may not mate, but mate my parents did, and concieved me. as a halfling, i was hidden for the better part of my childhood, away from the peering eyes of the village children. Adrien rode off into battle again as soon as i was born, but would secretly visit us whenever he had the chance.

by the age of five, i knew instinctively that i was much different from other children. for one, i had telekinesis and was able to forsee the future through dreams and visions. i was also able to astral project, which became quite useful as i grew older. the vampire part of me wasn't revealed until i was a teen right after i hit puberty. i found that though i am mortal, my lifespan is much greater compared to a normal human lifespan. i'm not even quite sure of how long i shall live, in fact, but i can assure you that i am well into the hundreds of years old. that was the begining of my life, silverflame said.

Lost sat back, sipping out of a glass of one of the bottels. "interesting. BUt how can a vampire give birth. I taught they were sterile when the became a vampire. Hum, interesting indeed."

no one knows. the last records of a vampire that was able to fertilize a witch's egg was thousands of years ago. science would declare that my very existence is impossible.

"science declares that vampires and witch's are impossible, yet you are here. shit, science says that a human can't recieve this much power. but yet i walk and slide around reality playing"

Vorach weaves gracefully through the forest, the trees coming dangerously close, but always missing by a hairs breadth. Rising, He loops high into the air, soaring above the canopy He barrel rolls at mind numbing speeds effortlessly. SNiffing the air He picks up the scent of a mortal. Pulling His knees up to His chest He somersaults several times then arcs down into the trees again, coming alongside Felix, who is loping lithely.

well, i'm trying to figure out why i'm presently here. its as if i've been drawn here will no will of my own to stop me. you see, i've been on a bit of a personal quest, if you will, ever since my parents died. my quest involves this book, in fact. silverflame motions to the book of shadows which lays next to her plate, untouched but not forgotten.

A tent stood in a small clearing as a thin wisp of black smoke rose into the air from a dying fire. Two horses are tethered to a tree, sleeping, but they come awake suddenly as Vorach comes to rest sitting upon the bough of a tree at the outskirts of the clearing. The horses sniff the airin a panic, snorting and whineying. In the tent He can see two mortals, neither moving as they sleep, His minds eye stronger than His physical eyes. Dropping from His perch He spreads His arms and glides to land silently. Approaching the horses one tries to rear and thrashes at it's tether as the other stands trembling, frozen. Touching the raging horses it shudders under His finger tips, clearly revulsed at Him, then it calms as He reaches into its mind with His own. Turning He looks at the tent as He hears the mortals moving about, the horses causing them to awaken. What could have been a quiet meal, will become a game of death, for the mortals that is.

"It is your mothers, right? Her book of shadows. At this house is something more than the stone and wood used to build it. There is deffinantly more int here. The library has some rather interesting articles.'

"One of them was this paper written by a chaos mage meditaiting verbally out loud while his apprentice took dictation. He threw an interesting light onto the idea of free floating mentallities with malevolent natures. But the libary is not the drawing power of this .... castel. I do not know what it is, but i do wish to find it." Lost stood up quickly. "Lets go on a treasure hunt." HE smiled.

excellent idea! this book is in fact about four hundred years old. it first belonged great great etc. grandmother and was only passed down to the next female in the next generation. silverflame rises from her seat to join Lost on their treasure hunt.

*slipping his skeletal arms around arienda so as not to lose her Sard closed his eyes, the view of the empty hallway faded, and then darkness enveloped the world before light sudenly returned showing Felix rushing between the trees*

"we are here"

* sard smiled down at Arienda for a moment before noticing the closeness of their bodies*

"I... I'm..."

*Sard stumbeled back wards, releasing Arienda and turned to find felix and Vorach*

Lost offers his arm to her so that they may walk next to each other. Lost had a feeling that the two of them should remain linked somehow on this mission and the keep the link as long as possible to guarntee it later when it would be really needed.

"So where shall we start. I found some oddidies in the libary that may lead us into some oddness. Damn, repetition." Lost slammed his head into a wall but it passed threw. He pulled it out quickly."Well that doesn't happen often." He placed one hand and touched the wall. He pushed as hard as he could but only found stone in his way. "Interesting. Very interesting indeed. Oh well, damn paradox shifts."

He continued on to the libary, openning the huge door into the bookcase kepper. The books were dishoveled a bit, the dust that was on them being moved. There were hundreds of them. Vast chronicals of history, lineage, magic, spellbooks and rituals. Scrolls and runes. The walls were adorned with paintings and weaponds, At the end opposite of the door, there stood an Ivory Sculpture. It was of a huge knight standing at guard against something, protecting something, looking out at and for something.

He lit the two candels at eighter side of the door and the rest of them around the place sparked and lit themselves. He picked up one of them."Do not worry. Only secrets are kept in these pages, hopefully nothing more." Lost regreted the jynk the second after he said it, but dismissed it as he had read all of the libaru allready and found nothing bad.

But one book he had not found, one book of great power that he had over look. The knight had done his job well. The book was older than most things in this world, one of the first written ideas, predating even the oldest of vampires. It's cover was a black leather made from the Golem Snake of Zagron, indestructible and immune to elements. THe pages were kept to the cover by being sowen onto it with the hair of an elf. The pages were of the skin of humans, donated by many dark mages from there slaves and victories. The pages were hidden by a great seal, one of a huge eye looking out, but not have being open for some time. The author had no name and the power he put into has rarely been matched. But the knight had hidden it from many seekers and it had remained in this castel for the last thousand years, a mere blink in it's exsistence.

Lost looked threw some text looking for something to tip off his senses. "Well, what do you suggest?"

Vorach's head comes up from His feeding, someone is handling the book. Instantly He drops the human as the last remnants of life fleet from it, and closes His eyes. His vision resolves into the scene of Lost and silverflame in one of the castle's sealed libraries. Without a word He vanishes leaving Sard and the others behind, appearing in the doorway leaning againt the doorjam.

Lost flipped around quickly at the voice. His link between him and Sliverflame broke quickly as he spun around, gloves glarring. "Oh shit man, freaked me the fuck out there man. And what book? Thats what we're looking for. The thing that opens up the castel. Were on a treasure hunt for something special. See, it kind of like this."

"Silverflame here," Lost motions Silverflame to Vorach, Vorach to Silverflame, "Well she was drawn here for some reason and we want to find out why. Same with me. I was wondering why i was here, or any of us really. makes very ill logic that random people would just randomly show up at a random place. Oh fuck, repetiton." And with this Lost blinks out of reality, assuming fifteen other people only to reblink a few moments later into one. All fifteen people are holding there head and screaming in agonizing pain. When he blinks back he is holding his head and falls to one knee.

He soon pops up and stands infront of the man."Well thats allways fun and great. sorry about that." He sounds fine. "Well silverflame here and i here," He pauses. "We are looking for the it here. But what is this book you mentioned?"
Unknowing to Lost and Silverflame who have there back to the Knight Statue. Its form began to take life, and was silently stepping down from it's pedistal. It Irory body moving as if there was not the stone. He moved towards the group.
