as most here know, i favor the more disturbing/exploitative genre of films......i happened to stumble upon this film somewhere and am very interested in obtaining a copy.....um, itz an old Swedish 70's rape/revenge flick borderline porno....in fact, the re-release has added extra hardcore-porn scenes including anal penetration and cum shots.....but all told, not at all arousing.....however, this film is s'posed to be done very beautifully....it was banned in itz homeland, but has spent years gaining a reputation as a cult phenomena of the underground exploitative genre......

to be brief, the story is of a girl tortured and sold as a sex slave who eventually has her eye cut out and then later learns the use of a double barrel shot-gun and karate and goes on a killing rampage.....

Synapse (or sumtin' like that) finally released the film here on DVD in sept.....it was s'posed to coincide with the release of Kill Bill 2 as Darryl Hanna's character was inspired by this movie......but it didn't happen that way, nonetheless the DVD has been released.....apparently, itz done very well....very good sound and picture quality and now featuring subtitles, as in the past there were none.....

anyway, BestBuy apparently carries this flick....but copies are limited....apparently only 45,000 were released in the US.....nonetheless, i plan to get my hands on it...

I heard about this one coming out, and that it was one of Taratino's favs. So I have been waiting for a copy to surface out where I live, but non so far. I will probably end up special ordering the damn thing.

well, with the retardedness aside.....I GOT A COPY OF THE FILM!!!! yay me....

ok, well i watched it...........um, it does go kinda slow, but it doesn't lose your attention......and there's thousands of spoilers in the flick, and funny lil' things.....like no one noticing Tony (the bad dude) driving through the park after 'One-Eye'......HELLO!!!!!!

but um.....all in all, it wasn't that bad.....and it was remastered purdy damn good.....sound quality was great, the visuals were good too.....

it isn't anywhere as "hardcore" as per se I Spit On Your Grave and Irreversible.....with being overly brutal....but the idea itself is way more hardcore than most exploitative films, itz enough to drive anyone to madness.....so, in that aspect it is pretty hardcore.......there is some hardcore-porn shots in the flick, which in some ways kills the movie, but in other ways helps with defining the heroines madness.......

on a side note: the read up on this, and the pornographic shots (the full penetration and cum shot) was a body double.....apparently Christina Lindberg only did softcore porn...

also....the eye cutting scene is s'posedly a real cadaver....and man, it hurt my eye watching it...

but yes, yes, who doesn't love a one-eye, sawed-off-shotgun wielding, martial art master chick out on a binge for revenge?!

all in all, i liked it......but, at the same time....i think it could've been a lot better....and have less spoilers.....but all those fuckers got what was coming to 'em.....
