Yep its back, for a 9, and maybe final season, though they say that the series won't end until they have no more stories to tell. Now for a forewarning, this will contain spoilers about events from season 8, or more specifically the last few episodes of season 8. so if you would rather watch than read, then stop reading here.









O.k. Now at the end of season 8, the goa'uld were all but destroyed by the replicators, anubis was taken out by Ohma, and the replicators were then destroyed by an Ancient device, and most importantly SG-1 found a ZPM allowing them to re-establish contact with the Atlantis team. Who is the new bad guy? Dunno yet. Well in season 9 it appears that O'neill takes over for Hammond running Homeworld security, so, save for a few appearances here and there, this maybe the last season with Richard Dean Anderson. The SGC is going to be ran by Maj. Gen. Hank Landry, played by Beau Bridges. Farscape fans will see the return of Ben Browder on Sci-Fi as Lt Col. Cameron Mitchell, as well as Claudia Black reprising her role as Vala. Louis Gosset Jr. will also have a recurring role as a Jaffa trying to take Teal'c's place on the Jaffa council. Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge and Michael Shanks will all be returning, however we will not see Lt. Col. Samantha Carter for the first three episodes as Amanda tapping had a baby in March. And we will see O'neill, but not till after 5 episodes. Let us stargate fans hope that these new changes do not kill the show. More to come when I find out.

Stargate is teh suck. Farscape was far and away the better show, and I won't shed a tear when SG-1 finally gives a death rattle and ceases to be.
