i really hope this one doesn't suck like the last two did.

I think theres gonna be alot more action in this one.

I didn't much care for the first one, but I liked the second. I didn't think that it really sucked at all.

i'm not a sci fi person, but i do have to admit there's something about star wars that excites me...i had a thing for luke skywalker...and now obi won kenobi! but i've always been fond of ewan since i first saw him in trainspotters...

What about that scene with Anakin and Amidala where he professes his love? Talk about wooden...I've seen better acting in soap operas. It was admittedly better than Phantom Menace, but Lucas has just lost his touch. He would have been better off handing the scripts to a director with a love for his original trilogy, and then backing the hell off and keeping his name under "Executive Producer."

i think that love-love business could have been settled if he spread it out over the three movies such as with Han and Leia... subtle little bits, instead of 8 year old mooning over boobies in the first one and 15 year old going "ZOMG! I luffs yew!"

but i suppose thats what you get when you go from the 3 year journey of the original trilogy to the 20 year journey of this one. well, that a lucas can't direct.

I don't think Lucas has lost his touch at all. In fact, I don't think Lucas ever had a touch. His stories are pretty good, but his dialogue and directing are pretty bad. I love the visuals, but the guy really can't do much with anything else.

As far as a comparison to the originals, these new ones are probably actually better. Not in the fun, "hey that was neat" kinda way, but the "actually, that's a nice storyline" kinda way.

But the two movie series are very different. They are different in the same way that The Terminator is different than Terminator 2 and Terminator 3. What was made years ago was neat then, but now they have to enhance things to make them better for audiences.

As far as the new trailer goes, I got it burned onto a disc. It looks pretty sweet from what is shown and will probably be the best of the series. Can't say that for sure though, until I watch it myself.
