OK now i dont know if this useless subject has been tackled yet but how many of you have seen anne rice's newest film the queen of the damned? for many of you its probably yes, now i hate to be a prick but as an anne rice fanatic i HATED this movie the plot was shit the acting was shit the actors were shit and the basic script had pretty much SHIT all to do with the book*marius being lestat's maker....WHAT THE FUCK!!!!*for those of you that have seen the movie and read the books you know how infuriating this is what are your comments?

Yeah.. during the past year fifty boards suddenly appeared, and soon to come fifty more.

As it stands I'm not going to watch the damn movie, mainly because it's based on one of Anne Rice's stories, and being that Anne Rice sucks, and the one movie I saw of hers sucked, I shall not walk that path again..

I love the Anne Rice book but I too hated the movie...I probably wanted it to be more like the books I suppose.... I'm apparently one of the only ones who didn't like it (besides you, Wolven)

i thought queen of the damned was a decent movie. the hard part for me was trying not to compare it to interview with a vampire. if you do that then the movie is absolute shit. it looked like they saved their entire effects budget for the last scene.. i almost laughed every time a vampire was flying. oh, and i did actually start laughing during the concert scene when all the goth kids are holding those little red halloween pitchforks. that was fucking hilarious.

lol yah i know the movie was crapinstien......um yah....have you read the book it is completely different than the movie maheritt and mechar (hopes he spelt right) were wrong.... vamps died when then didnt really die in the book louis wasnt there lestats mother wasnt there pandora and camond die.....marius IS NOT lestats maker MAGNUS IS!

I wanted to see Armand in it more, and they all look right. Lestat was supposed to be chosen really for his blonde hair NOT black.

I chose not to see this movie for the simple fact that they completely arse fucked the first movie and turned it into an almost completely different story with a hint of the original plot. I saw the previews...and saw who they had chosen for the various parts and then heard reviews from my Anne Rice obsessed friends down at the Theatre Des Vampires and decided that not only had they arsefucked but they had completely run it into the ground....The books are very wonderful if you are into the style of writing that Rice uses...but the movies...whoever made them should be put in prison for false representation.
