First off thanks to MOO for the link to eyebum. It's a wealth of movies and television shows.

I stumbled across this one last night while searching for something new to watch. It's the chronicle of an executioner in 16th century Austria, at the height of religious persecution... the Spanish Inquisition. It's pretty intense. The editing is a little rough, but the plot itself is amazing. And there's blood. Watch it.
