well I bought the DVD boxset two weekends ago and have been systematically going through this series, falling in love all over again...

it cost me $110, and i would gladly pay it twice over... i think there's something that the Japanese get that most Americans dont... i can name very few of us who get exposure... David Lynch, Tim Burton... from the UK, Neil Gaiman... from France, Alex Proyas... but it seems Japan has an abundance of deep, meaningfull, questioning authors and artists... Evangelion, Honnamiase, Cockpit, Perfect Blue, Robot Carnival, Gasaraki...

i have this series on tape. no DVD for me as of yet. i havent watched the tapes since i first got them, even though i DO love them. i think this has rekindled my interest. i need to go back and watch them through again.

the dvd is VERY nice... superb picture quality... plus you get to freeze frame and read the clues that flash by as text without that irritating clipping and distortion lines that ruin the tape... god bless digital technology
