...music was really good, all except the freaggin Static-X presence on the soundtrack CD. Although their actual song isn't in the movie anywhere.
It might interest you to know that Marilyn Manson composed most of what you heard there. He's very talented when he doesn't expect people to notice his work. A shame he won't pour that same talent into the music he releases onto MTV and on his CDs...
...but then I doubt as many people would like him. It's the image of Marilyn Manson everyone loves, not his heart&soul.
Further notes, being a graphic designer, and having done a lot of work in 3-D in the past, I can confirm that few of those effects were actually computer generated. Dogs in mid-jump, The licker (of course) and that one zombie with half his face blown off are the only things that come to mind, besides the red queens special effects.
Even more so, the storyline doesn't really interfere with the video game storylines, which tickled me silly. I enjoyed this movie greatly and it currently has me more enthralled than any of my other favorite movies.

I loved it... and if you've ever read an essay by Manson, he is rather bright. I think the image thing is fucking hilarious, because it works (though I'm not a fan).

I thought it was done very well...the only gripe i had was that Paul Anderson tried to make parts of it too much like MOrtal Kombat..namely all the hard core music during the zombie raids and whenever there was a bit of action..i swear i almost was prepared to hear someone shout "MOOOOORRRTTTAAALL KOOOOMMMBAAAAAAT!!!!" then Que the techno/hard bar chorded music and commence to rip shit up...that kinda gave it a more action fight kinda feeling when they should have left it to either no music, or jsut loooow key creepy soft ended music to make the fear and tension raise. Instead of being scared i wanted to jump up and shout "Yeah muthafuckah, blow dem shits away baybeeee!"
Which was annoying as fuck...but other than that it was pretty groovy.

Hehe well you should have said that
And DarkStorm...No shit!!! Of course they used Computer generated scenes....It doesn't take education in 3-D art Animation to tell ......and I like Static-X !!!!

I was trying to clear up some confusion. Some people were not aware that the zombies were make-up special effects. Especially the dogs, they thought the dogs were all computer animated and they looked "so real." Neigh, they were only computer animated in mid-jump and even then it was only for a split second that you'd see them.
And I don't have an education in 3-D art animation, I just did it for so long that I can see all the triangles in models and know how to watch for bad lighting (usually the biggest tip-off).

Milla was enough for me.... hell it could have had old style George Romero effects and I still would have liked it with her in it... I must be biased.... or maybe it is the red hair and green eyes that do it for me....
