you know, the last 10 or 15 minutes of this movie gave me a really bad feeling deep deep deep inside...
i actually had my belly hurting...
awful

and now i'm reading the novel "requiem for a dream" by hubert selby jr (in fact it's an old book from 1978)... you should read it too
i bought almost everything this guy wrote... veeeeeeeery good... you should take a look at it

requiem for a dream is an excellent movie. i was completely surprised by how good it was. that was the second movie from aronofsky, his first being "pi" which was another good flick. i also just learned that aronofsky is directing the new batman film that will be released in 2002. with his current track record, i'm sure the new batman will be really good.

...but i do have the soundtrack already...
its weird but sometimes i can see if a movie will be good or not if the soundtrack is great....
it worked for pi... and lost highway... and loclstock and two smoking barrels...
if Requiem's sdtrack is anyindication... well then

requiem and pie were excellent movies. if the rumor of the director doing batman is true, then im sure where all in for a treat. i just hope they don't some idiot to do batman like they've done the last three movies or however many it's been. | |

i'm unsure whether or not Aronofsky is signed to direct the next BATMAN movie yet. he is writing it with frank miller. but i hear that he has a big sci-fi movie in mind that he may do first.

it pisses me off that excellent movies like requiem and the cell get zero appreciation in hollywood from the academy awards, but shitty movies like traffic get a grip of awards.

I really enjoyed requiem...but like someone else mentioned...my stomach hurt. It really made me woozy and not in a good way. Weird. I wanted it over, but I liked it...heh.

i cant stand her music, but i really think that Lopez can act... i have yet to see her in a movie i havent enjoyed (note: i havent seen Selena for tha VERY reason)...
as for Aranofsky... i think he could do a great job with a new batman. he just has to stay away from the campyness of the last two. Tim Burton was always right on the money when he did the Dark Knight.
