Dragons..love em..

xept this movie was lacking some stuff..
..ok..don't look at the technicallities of the story..I mean..it's fantasy in a modern jacket

but the dragons were pictured as evil monsters taking over the world..and I didn't really like that..made them look like..mindless beasts following instincts

..not that that was what the movie was about..

We had a lot of commentary on this movie before the thread disapeared unfortuneately when 8 legged freaks had a new thread appear after the death of the old one..it didn't have any replies so I'll just give you the jist of what other people said in the last one..

We had some people angry over the lack of correct representation of scenery and the name of the English city it was supposed to be filmed in.

We had some people telling us that the FX were great but the acting left something to be desired and that Matt kinda hammed it up in some scenes..

That might have been the extent of it...

Anyone else?

The only thing I liked about this movie was Christian Bale who, as always, was excellent. Matthew was decent, but he did ham it up a lot. The effects were....eh. It was a pretty good popcorn flick, but nothing you'd remember in the long run.
