Somebody explain this to me. Why is this stuff so popular? I've watched every reality show I can think of, and I never feel the least bit enthralled. Usually, I end up feeling guilty for reveling in the misery of others, which I believe is the entire point of these shows. Could just be personal preference, but there's gotta be some underlying reason that all these shows are so profitable nowadays.

people want to feel adventure, but fictional television is predictable and they have no imagination for books, games, or writing (or choose not to exercise it)... thus, the lazy populace wants something adventurous that isnt fake, that they might have a possibility of doing, and takes as little effort as possibile...

networks use the excuse "it shows us human nature" but there is just as much human nature and dynamics in everyday life as there is on "survivor"... bah...

give me fiction and real life any day... ill crack their heads with my boken or make their minds whirl and vision blur to my prose... damn lazy bastards...

I honestly don't know why people would rather stay in all day and watch reality shows than interact with real people.

My idea of reality TV is 'Queer As Folk'. that show rocks, and gives a bit more recognition to all the fags out there. now i know i'm female, and i'm straight, but i support this show anyway......fags Rule!!!!!!!

I agree. I hate reality TV. I think they have come up with about everything you can ..but I'm probably wrong. It's horrible.
