I don't know how much they're spending on advertising to promote this film, but I've seen the trailer 3 times in the hour since I got home from work. It seems they're heavily showing the trailer on MSNBC (go figure).

Apparently it's about Marines. The trailer looks pretty awesome, having Kanye West's "Jesus Walks" or whatever playing in the background. But we all know you can't judge a film by its trailer. *cough*Episode III*cough*


While Full Metal Jacket will always hold a special place in my heart, I'm looking forward to it.

it looks pretty good, but no, nothing beats r. lee. ermy as the d.i. from hell. the other sous chef and i who are currently working together will quote lines from that movie for a commulative 2 hours a day.

"what is this, what in the fuck is this?"

the footage in the trailer looks pretty decent. it also has the greatest tag line for a film ever: "welcome to the suck"

it has jamie foxx in it, maybe he'll do that great ray charles impression that he's been milking for the last year...

Gyllenthal (or however you spell it) hasn't disappointed me...

Gyllenhaal. I love that guy. He amazes me. When I saw Bubbleboy, it didn't hit me that he was Donnie Darko until later. He's got quite an acting range.

I'm torn. I love them all equally, but I secretly want to be D'Argo...mainly so I can tap Chiana, and so I can say "I'm your daddy" and actually sound cool doing it.

But Dargo looks so queer in real life. It totally spoiled my image of him. Plus Chiana fucks him over.

I love Rygel more than anyone. But Aeryn comes next. And then Pilot. I hate Chiana. She walks like she's constipated.

I always thought she walks like she's got a stick up her ass, but then that just feeds the fantasy.

Call me mainstream, but Crichton is my favorite character, followed by Scorpius. And Harvey.

I would be pretty keen to see Jarhead when it comes out over here, Jake Gyllenhall is a pretty decent actor and really should have become a superstar after Donnie Darko.
