i love it when i go to see a movie and dont expect much and come out pleasantly surprised. thats what happened here. i really enjoyed this movie much more than i thought i would.

the basic plot is simplicity itself. nothing new. but i didnt mind that. i just thought that this was a funny film. entertaining. thats it. thats all i needed. there was even a sequence that choked me up a little.

the animation is not as detail oriented as say a PIXAR release but i thought it worked. i liked the style. it was very stark with harsh angles which i thought went well with the environment the story takes place in.

all in all, nothing revolutionary. but it was a good time. i saw it at a rather late show with a (surprisingly) large crowd and everyone seemed to be enjoying it quite a bit as well.

p.s. i LOVED the dodos! you'll see what i mean. "doom on you!"

it always seems that i can't ever find time to watch animated flicks in the theater, but i'll have to try and get around to this one. it looks pretty good and i've seen enough trailers to understand your angular comment... now i just need to figure out the dodo comment.

you guys should go check out the web site for the movie...tho i dont remember the addy..its cool..you guide the little squirl dude (dont remember the name) through pages of the site..there are games..trailer...and lots of other stuff*l*
